This video worked really well. I was able to get it to work my second try and you really can explore a lot more of the world. I was really unsure about this game but after playing the demo for a while I think its a ton a fun. Can't wait till it released.
I like the way these guys think. I wouldn't mind to see all 5 of those things implemented in Recon. On a side note I'm actually really excited about the prospect of urban warfare. Maybe now we will finally get to see some action similar to that from the E3 demo for halo 2 that we never got to play. But then again i'm just excited to see more earth levels because they have always been my favorites from the halo games.
I really don't even know how to react to this. Bungie just loves to tease the hell out of us, but if this is real.....then holy sh*t! Bots or a complete level designer would be a ridiculous addition to the game.
You have to realize that even though MS doesn't own Bungie anymore they are still their publishers so they probably have to get their games approved. So what they are making another Halo game, everyone will buy it and it will probably be a ton of fun.
This article fails to understand that fans have "latched" onto the halo game only because we don't even know about their other games....duh seriously how can you write something like that. We will latch on to any game th...
I realize a lot of you don't like this, and for understandable reasons. But guys you do have to see that th Halo universe has expanded and without too much loss of quality. The Halo books, graphic novel, and comics have all been top notch. Along with Halo Wars coming and and the Peter Jackson game. All of these could be showcased with possibly some machinima or however you spell it such as RvB or others.
While you are right in some ways, you have to realize by expanding the casual market companies will be tempted to spend more time and money on the casual side. If they can make a game like this which probably didn't cost anything near what Halo 3 did and sell more then why not do that?
Did you watch E3, especially the Microsoft and nintendo keynote speeches? The casual markets are more important to them now, so they stray away from anything hardcore and focus less attention.

You do realize that Bungie said nothing of the sort right? They came out right away and said this was CGI and that a company that really only does CGI work made it for them. So lets not be so childish and make things up ok? Thanks.
I agree with you, it was exciting seeing the upgrade itself, but these look soo much better. I guess MS is just trying to take a good thing and expand on it without giving everything away on the first day.
Plus my themes are gonna look awesome on this new dashboard : )
Lol, but seriously I have become very interested in PJ's halo game. It sounds like it should be an interesting concept and at least we know its still coming. Alan wake on the other hand isn't looking so good. I remember seeing some of the first screen shots from that game and going wow...now i'm just hoping it gets released : )
I think we saw enough halo wars videos last night to satisfy our grunty thirst. At least i did anyways, i didn't need it in the keynote.

First off, for anyone who played halo 3 knows if you have a good team of friends even the hardest difficulties aren't that hard anymore and that is in a game with wide open battles. Most of the time a player or two won't even get many kills because someone else will take them.
Now in games like R2 where they will most likely throw creature after creature at you it won't be such a big deal, but I'm not really into games like that. I'm excited about just having 2 players because ...
I will admit it was quite a long one, but I have been very excited about finding more information on this game. It really sounds like its shaping up to be a huge success for the console RTS genre. This might be my next RTS purchase, since I haven't even played one since starcraft lol.
Can't wait to see this game at E3!
To be honest they really have me going right now, I have no idea what is going to happen. Bungie has said before that they are working on multiple projects right now so yes one of them could be halo 4. I just can't see them giving that up in a similar fashion to the COD series. But who knows i keep hearing things about gearbox. They did do a good job with halo 1 for computer.
I think the project that they are supposedly announcing at E3 will be something new and dealing with t...
The halo universe is massive, as all of the games, books, and "halo bible" have shown us. Bungie did a lot more than just set up a story line to follow their trilogy with MC, they created an entire universe that has a ton of potential. Thats why games such as Halo Wars works so well with the backstory. They have set themselves or another studio up to have endless opportunities to create new and interesting games with the halo story.
I was just going to submit a news article about this, but you beat me to it. Just a suggestion that might grab more attention would be to include that the map will be free and downloadable on the 7th instead of hinting at it.
Anyways great news, I always love new content.
I figured something like this would happen. I actually thought bungie might pass up on this and hand it off to another company since they have stated so many times how they want to do something fresh and then come back to halo, but i guess it makes sense (and by sense i mean $$$ lol). I would be very excited to see how they would expand on forge, the video replay system, and all of the other unique features that really brought a lot to the game. (I'm praying for a custom games lobby so forge ...
AS we speak, a large group of Bungie and Halo fans have decided to take this one step further and reach 7 billion kills before Bungie day (7/7/08) arrives. If "everyone" was playing COD4, how would we be getting 14 million kills a day with only the the most "hardcore" fans playing as you state. Even you must realize the truth in these facts.
Yes most people have abandoned the game, I hardly play too much more myself, but it still gets the same amount of love t...
I'm very impressed, the only thing that even slightly annoyed me from the first was the lack of color through some of the game but these pictures show me that won't be so in the second. They look so much more vibrant and the lighting seems to have improved as well. And as a side note, until I get a notice from the makers of God of War similar to the ones the Worldwide Wrestling federation got from the Worldwide Wildlife Foundation lol, then i use whatever combination of letters i want to. If ...
Guys, if you look at one of the classic definitions of innovation you will find "the process of making improvements by introducing something new;the act of introducing something new: something newly introduced." If you look at the first part innovation can be interpreted as taking something already out there and just making something new to add to it and improve it.Yes it might be a stretch, but I believe Apple does a great job will innovation. Just the designs of their computers is...
I'm still trying to figure out how something could be spectacular and desperate at the same time lol. In past experiences if anything truely desperate turned out to be spectacular it was sort of a lucky thing. But hey, I was happy with the line up before now so anything new and possibly "spectacular" is great. Not that i can really afford much more after buying my new samsung 40 inch. I guess M$ will own my soul soon enough ; ) (And only kinda in a fanboy way lol)
How about you pull up that article explaining what 2 red rings means? If you actually followed the news you would know that is not a hardware malfunction and is just an overheating of the box. That can happen when you put it in a sealed plastic enclosure. RRoD is a hardware malfunction that can not be fixed by just turning the console off. How about you get your facts straight.
