Trigger Shape - 360
Analog Thumbstick Positions and shape - 360
D-Pad - PS3
Weight and Feel - 360
Button feel - Tie
I like the weight and feel of the 360 controller because it fits in my hands just right and the grips are perfect for me. The PS3's controllers are just so light and feels like it was built more for people with small hands, the grips are too short. The PS3's triggers are something I can never get use to because it always feels like my...
I actually like the PS Store. It's not the best, but I find it easier and faster to navigate than XBL's marketplace. Sometimes the XBL marketplace feels like a maze of menu's with ALOT of backing up to get to other catagories. I don't find it to be so much work to do that in the PS Store.
There will be improvements as time goes on and it can only get better if they consider whats important from it customers.
I actaully owned and liked the Panasonic 3DO. Too bad there wasn't even enough games for it though, it was quite the beast of a machine in it's day.
Owning an Atari Jaguar was a BIG mistake. As a mentioned in another post....I still can't believe a bought it!
...for people thinking about buying a Blu-Ray player.
Doesn't really matter if your not a hardcore gamer, the PS3 has been touted as being a supurb Blu-Ray player and with it's ability to have the firmware upgraded through updates, it's practically futureproof.
Add in the fact that Sony made a great Bluetooth remote control that doesn't require a direct line of sight to the unit to control the options on screen and I think this would appeal to most movie watchers...
I gave up on PC Gaming a few years ago. I was upgrading components every 6 months like clock work for several years. When the Xbox came out, that did it for me. No more PC gaming. Saved myself a ton of cash and never felt like I had to keep up with the Jones.
The design looks pretty slick, except for the over hanging piece with all the holes. I'll look kinda weird when sitting horizontal, but overall, it looks really nice.
I'll still be happy with my PS3 and envy my friends who end up getting this one. Hope they make the casing scratch poof this time around though.
What makes this journalist an expert in the going on's in Microsoft?...uh....nothing! "ewwwww....I heard from this insider that this is going on!" and that makes it so. Dummy!
Do you actually think Bill Gates was going to work at Microsoft till he dies?? And do you actually think that his retiring will sink the whole company to the bottom of your virtual lake??
By that journalists reckoning, if I were to quit my job right now, the company I work for ...
My DVD's look great playing in either my 360 and my PS3. There's nothing Blu-Ray or HD-DVD has shown me that can justify paying $10 more for each movie vs. regular DVD.
I have a plasma TV so the picture is mint, but I don't need a 7.1 surround system to watch my movies, digital dolby is just fine with me.
....after reading all the feedback from customers, retailers and journalists they will come out with a 2nd gen AirBook with all the necessary revamps to make it a better product.
I've always liked Apple products and would like one day to either own a Mac computer or laptop. I've always envied their OS. So far I'm really enjoying my Nano Ipod for music.
But I hope there will be shortcut options to go from one place to another. I think I'd get sick of walking/running all over the place after a few weeks of fiddling with it.
I'm sure they will have this option, but I don't remember seeing it through the menu's I've seen as of yet.
Yup! That was the best game that I had on it. Alien vs. Predator. Tempest was good too, but got old real quick. Man, I can't help but shake my head when I think back on it. Just horrible!
I'd rather buy 4 Xbox 360's, 4 PS3's, 4 Flatscreen TV's, a huge square table to put it all on, 8 comfy ass chairs and 4 copies of all the games that I like.
I'd rather have that scenario than one $45,000 gaming computer rig. I'd still have money left over to buy pizza every weekend for 2 years!
Maybe this godly computer's real asset is that it can download porn at 500 mbps?
....was the bloody Atari Jaguar! Complete waste of money and I only had 3 games for it. And they were the best of like a dozen that came out.
I had 1000 times for fun when I had the Panisonic 3DO. Too bad that console bit the dust too. It was a very decent console, but cost me an arm and a leg back in the day....$600 I believe.
You don't believe I have XBL??? Look up my gamertag Kigmal. Ive had XBL since the very beginning when the Xbox (original) first came out. What are you, 10 years old?
I've stated that you can use your own background pics for free on the 360, just that you can't have a different pic for each blade. Yes, there are SOME free themes/gamerpics you can get. Usually from special events and such, but the MAJORITY of the themes/gamerpics come at a cost.

...and you can literally find thousands of pictures you can download and use them as your own background. Sure, you can't use a different picture on every blade (hopefully that will change in the future), but paying for pics and themes is stupid in my opinion.
I love changing wallpaper and themes on my PS3 and even Sony has put wallpaper and themes on the PSN FOR FREE!
I rarely check the pics and themes on XBL anymore.
I'll spend my money where it...
I think Microsoft did a great job on the marketing of Halo 3. They showed just enough to 'wow' the fans of the series and then had a fantastic end product to boot.
Not overhyped, but gave the fans exactly what they wanted and asked for. But they probably did spend a little too much on the marketing. Word of mouth alone would have made the sales they got.
To this day, my friends play the hell out of it. Even though they also bought COD4.
I'll pass your info off to her tonight ;) Hahahahaha!
Been waiting for this controller to come out. Now my girlfriend and I can rock it out together! *Besides the bedsheets of course* ;)
Hey, if Sony actually stands by what it says, then great for all PS3 owners. But if the incident regarding the laptop battery fiasco that happened a year ago is any indication, then I won't bet that Sony will replace the controller or the battery when it finally dies out (Out of warranty of course).
Lifetime warrenty they say? Doubt it. Nothing electronic these days carries a lifetime warranty, especially rechargable batteries.
Electricear - Maybe read the WHO...
Can't be a fanboy if you've got both systems.
