Fallout New Vegas did the same thing. You put the disc in day one and you couldn't even play it until the game released on the west coast. So I went to a midnight release and tried to play the game and had to wait because it wasn't released on the west coast and only used the steam installer to install the game.
Why do they not region lock this game? There is no reason we should be playing with people literally on the opposite side of the planet when we are using p2p with 16 people. Just region lock it so Euros, Africans, Asians/Pacific Islanders, South Americans, and North Americans should be restricted to playing with people from their own region. This would cut down 8 out of 10 of the connection issues and hit detection problems.
