Nintendo's classic franchises are way more iconic compared to the likes of Uncharted, Gears and Halo. That's why Nintendo can continue to use the same IP's for years to come. Well aren't you a little sour? In case you forgot: the Smash Bros franchise is one of the most popular and beloved in gaming. It's coming, we know it. That alone is enough to be excited. It's official unveil is also a few months away at E3, so even if we basically know nothing about the game right now, I think fans have every right to be excited for the future.
I got the game two days ago and it's been a blast. Haven't been able to play as much as I'd like because of stupid life, but I'm so glad I got this game. Jrpgs are usually slow and boring in introducing the world and going through all the tutorials in the beginning, but I am having so much fun learning this game. The battle system and familiars are so reminiscent of pokemon and I love it.
Can you imagine how amazing Nintendo's E3 showing will be this year? Just thinking about it right now is mind-blowing. Don't even bother with shotguns. You're dead for sure. There's this one pump action shotgun that's basically the only shotgun people use. With lag, you literally have no chance of winning in close combat situation.

Why should the 3 consoles have to compete against eachother and be compared graphically? They all offer something different for different people to enjoy. We know the next xbox and ps4 will be capable of producing higher graphics over the Wii U, but that's a choice made by Nintendo. Silly fanboys seem to think that Microsoft and Sony win...
It makes me happy knowing Nintendo won't be short of options to make a great roster for the next Smash Bros. Thinking about it, the options are endless and I'm sure there won't be complications acquiring whoever Sakurai chooses for the roster. Kojima requested that Snake be in Brawl and it happened. Funny how he isn't in All Stars lol. That's the kind of power and respect Nintendo has. I hope to see both Snake and Sonic make a return.
Are you seriously comparing All Stars to Smash Bros 64? A game made 14 years ago? Whether it be the first entry in the series or not, as a fighting game, technology today will obviously allow All Stars to be a better "fighter". More fun is debatable. You're being too harsh. While I can understand long time fans being disappointed in the change to Samus's character, it was still definitely a good game which I really enjoyed. Iv'e never been the biggest Metroid fan (only completed Prime 3 prior to Other M - eventually got the Prime Trilogy), but I think it was nice seeing a side of Samus that we never expected. I have a friend that learned to read properly playing through Ocarina of Time back on N64. He was a slow learner, always had problems in school because of his inability to read. He was motivated to complete OOT though, being the magical game that it was despite the excessive reading of texts that was required of him. He had no choice but to force himself to understand of course, and at the end of it all, he came out a better reader and a satisfied gamer.
