hey dude please tell me wut next gen technology does bluray use that hddvd doesnt use they both use blu lasers and when bluray first came out it was using old ass video compression tools which made it look like crap but then it stepped its game up and got vc-1 which is the latest and best video codec out there and hddvd has always used that, so if n e thing bluray has been playing catch up with the video quality and they r still playing catch up with the extra features and web enabled content...
i for 1 am going to keep my hddvd player and library cuz the money i have salready spent is gone and the movies i have r really great so there is no need to get rid of them besides the war isnt over

all i have to say is that you people that think hd dvd doesnt have movies cuz they have warner r wrong universal and paramount r the biggest studios of them all and they dreamworks which have a bunch of animated movies for kids like bee movie, antz, chicken run, madagascar, shreks123, a sharks tale, kungfu panda, el dorado, prince of egypt, and flushed away and these titles havent even been released on hd yet so it really isnt over yet
