Sales wise it's a flop

@Darth

So chase 28 million or so customers and increase your workload for TWO versions for Xbox where no one really buys games vs. a little work vs 143 million Switch users who buy games. Really tough choice right?

Seriously if you need to wonder why Xbox fails to get games then I don't know what kind of idiocy your subscribing to. But it's plain to see why Switch would ALWAYS be the better option. Because either it's Gamepass or not releas...

"Well isnt that interesting.... When MS first introduced a digital only alongside their disc based system... you'd think they were the monster with all the people coming at them with pitchforks at the ready. It did NOT matter that the disc system was right there for all to see.... it was the digital only that people saw and were mad as hell about it existing."

Wait can the Xbox get a disc drive attachment later to open up more optio...

What's 'acceptable' to you is idiocy. People like what they like. You can't tell someone what they should enjoy because it's subjective. Get over yourself if you think your opinion matters more than everyone else's

"The Acolyte cost 180 million dollars"

Yeah, but, Star Wars shows have hundreds more staff. But my point is that TLOU 2 had over 2000 people work on it and cost $220 million. But you want me to believe a game that had 150 people making it cost more than double that with 1/10 of the staff.

597d ago 3 agree4 disagreeView comment

This is how absurd that number is. The Last of Us 2 cost $220 million to make and had 2100+ people work on the game.

But this media and certain people here think that Concord which topped out at 150 people working on the game cost $400 million to make.

Grand Theft Auto 5 apparently cost $265 million to make too which at the time was the most expensive entertainment product ever made even considering other media like movies.

Wait so let me get this straight. The Last of Us 2 apparently cost about $220 million to make and had 2000+ people working on it.

But you think that Concord which topped out at 150 employees cost $400 million to make?! Please explain the logic here.

Warhammer Darktides, Ark 2, Stalker 2 all say hello

599d ago 5 agree4 disagreeView comment

Yeah it's not like Xbox paid for exclusivity for games like Ark 2, Stalker 2, Warhammer Darktide or anything like that right? Oh wait.....

3 straight years of missing Gamepass targets. Some people are just blinded by their own idiocy. Will be interesting to see if COD does anything this fall

Gee someone here said Xbox would NEVER release 1st party games on Playstation or competing platforms again?! Never tired to see you eat crow again.

"Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Outer Worlds 2, Wolfenstein 3, and the many titles acquired through their purchases of Obsidian, Bethesda, Activision, and others—Microsoft has the potential to become the market leader if they make these franchises exclusive to their platforms"

Nah that has a ZERO percent chance of ever happening.

With cost of games skyrocketing all these franchises would probably just die without Playstation gamers buying them. Most o...

Exactly 💯. It goes both ways. Love how people conveniently forget back during the 360 days Xbox made you buy Wi-fi adapters, pay to play online just to watch Netflix and many other things when they were doing well.

Crisis Core sold 4% of their copies on Xbox so I doubt porting to Xbox is really worth it unless they have some huge Gamepass payout

I think people forget the original Uncharted opening month only sold 50,000, but, Sony believed in the series and built it up from nothing.

They could have been complacent and said no to TLOU when Uncharted blew up too.

Plus turning down Marvel too. Spiderman is only exclusive to Playstation because of that

"backdoor business is what’s really going on as usual."

Makes sense. Playstation clearly can outbid a company with $3 trillion. Talk about idiotic. You're suggesting a company worth 1/10 of Microsoft can just outbid them? Let's believe the conspiracy even though the developer has said they're having issues (Series S strikes again). Seriously what are you guys smoking?

@Lightning

"Halo Infinite didn't have issues with the S what are you talkin about?"

Dude get your damn facts straight. Did you not remember the promise of split screen that got canceled?!

Can you see anything beyond your narrow, simplistic and idiotic views Obscure? NOTHING has been independently verified with a source which already is a huge red flag about how unprofessional these articles are. Not a single VERIFIED fact at all. This is just speculation to incite idiots to raise pitchforks and here you are getting worked up with LITERALLY zero proof. But since you know so muc...

So let me get this straight Playstation that love to point out exclusives pays for exclusivity, but, doesn't use that in advertising at all? Really?! Then what's the point of that?

Remember there were articles speculating the same for Baldurs Gate 3.

If this were actually timed exclusive you bet Playstation would advertise that going into the holidays.
