No you got it wrong, if you would of read the article it says they lose money on ps3 production costs. They would make up these losses through the sell of games for ps3,ps2,psp playstation store etc, and ps2 and psp hardware sales.
I would say so on the zune, as its only in america and they arnt selling much.
This is just for ps3 manufactoring costs, Sony would of made these numbers up with ps2 hardware, and games and ps3 games
All companys who launch a massive product need to take risks to get their product to market. Microsoft would of lost billions aswell. But now the xbox in 3 years and the big games have been realesed theyve made big profits, and so will sony once they launch all their exclusives.

Yep true, i read somewhere today, i think it was the article on the xbox 720, not sure though, that microsoft lost billions of dollars when they launched the xbox and 360, so this is nothing different. Sony made over 88 billion dollars in 2007, so its not much skin of their teeth.
What has this got to do with pc graphics?? If you are talking about the cgi trailer, do you know how much a pc costs that produces cgi. For instance the company weta digital that make cgi in films such as the king kong, lotr, and the new halo movie are on the list of of having the fastest computers in the world, which cost 100,000's of pounds each.
So theres no way that they could make of game of those graphics, as even the best gaming pcs that cost upwards of 3000 pounds wouldnt...

Exactly. Instead of paying ridiculous money for games to become timed exclusive, they should spend this money on buying new ips for their 360. Lets face it they need all the exclusives they can this year. If they dont get some new ones then, its going to be a massive year for sony, and a terrible year for microsoft.
I wish microsft would stop trying to get customers by paying for games that should be multi platform, it makes me sick.
If the 360 version does look the best (which is probably due to ps3 RGB settings, which they dont turn on in comparison videos) who cares as PS3 gets Nadal. Thats a big enough reason to get the PS3 version over the 360 version.
like people said, the playstation network has never ever been down since it was launched, the only time it was down was when they updated the firmware for the new playstation store, so this could mean something. Plus when it was down only the store was down, not the online games. I dont think the online games servers have ever been down.
