You can't call it best money you spent right after you bought it. It takes reflection. I would go so far to say it is because of Sony taking care of the PS3 that has caused the demand for PS4. It is because of way Microsoft took care of 360 that the bone lacks demand.

As a launch PS3 owner, Sony was NOTHING like MS is now. That PS3 was best $600 I've spent in years.

They must have been so rushed designing the xbone. Leaving off the case means they knew it would be a problem before the console was released. Why release an unfit console?
But the render resolution is halfed too. It renders 2 views of 540x720, not two views at 1080x720. Nor are the views showing more objects, so occlusion is the same.
I understand your concern but I have played with dev oculus in Unity and I see no extra demand on system compared no VR modes.
They probably wanted them to drop the controller and move to Kinect flailing input

Unity only let's you import objects up 60k poly.
It's not 1080p x 2. Each eye gets one half of 1080 because the field of view is square. My god, the oculus developer version is half of 720p. 1080 was there new model they showed at e3. OculusVR has already stated that they intend to run on mobile units, android I Guess.
Vgchartz has under tracked PS4 every week. Expect official February reports to be a massacre.

Have none of you heard of front loaded sales. Microsoft has. It happens with many video games now, many things in general now. There is a burst of initial sales and then ... This is death for a product expecting to sell, unchanged, for 8 years. Interest must grow or at least maintain above a certain level.

Of course PS4 will always have the better version. If you bought a PC that 50% more powerful then your old one, I doubt you would be surprised if it played all the game better.
