If a one man dev team is anything but indie, I dont know what Indie is. 505 just ported it. How could a N4G comment troll (not even gunna put quotation marks), not know his facts?

From the Terraria dev team page:

Andrew "Redigit" Spinks is an avid gamer who has always aspired to create his own game, and eventually his own game studio. To that end, he began by teaching himself how to code. First with Visual Basic, and then onto the much more powerful...

BF2SF added insane amounts of new mechanics to BF2, 'Nam was essentially a whole new game. BF3 packs simply didnt add much besides new maps.

Now tell me the difference from B2Karkand and a mappack? Just because they call it expansions doesnt change the fact that 90% of the stuff in these packs are freaking maps. The value/ price ratio is just way off.

I agree, the business practices of most of the publishers are more than questionable. The industry went away from a focus on the game, to a focus on the consumer. Its not about making a game good, its about making exactly what the new demographic of Dudebros and 12 year olds like.

During the Beta, the most annoying thing I found was the Battlepack crap. Considering how the have been milking their customers in the past, I could imagine them selling those too. Luckily these Battlepack do not only contain camo, BUT NOOOOOOOO they contain attachments etc. too.

EAs business practices are at the same low as Activisions by now...

Dedicated servers arent a feature, I consider it a must have.

Dedi support was standard for most PC games before the 2000s, we made a massive step back.

Answer is as simple as single words: Mods, custom maps, no paid DLC.

Cod4 had the magic of being arguably the first modern shooter and bringing a new type of "arcade trash MP" into the scene while providing Zombie mods MP, vehicle mods, Mario maps and the DLC came out for the price of zero cents. You could say that all the "New magic" in MW2 was old magic while taking away the ability to mod it back in.

I still dont feel blown away from Ghosts. Activision has proven in the past that they can make everything look good, just to come out with the biggest bullsh** ever.

MW2 was class A COD for people who did not play the greatness of MW1 on PC. MW2 was magic in the sense that it picked up and started the whole Youtube commentary thing.

As for the IW team, the only magicians work for EA now and produced (I have played it) what I consider is a real step forward in the series with Titanfalls.

The magic of COD died the day they decided to develop MW2 for console first and then for PC.

Instead of developing a game with massive features and then reducing it so consoles can take it, they went the other way and quality overall took a hit.

BLOPS1 did a great job of comming back to at least some of the aspects that made MW1 a great game, but all in all the series just went downhill starting with MW2.
