I think he's just hoping the trend of deep storytelling along the line of Ni no Kuni and TLOU can continue in high-profile AAA games, and not be left to the wayside to focus on polished graphics etc

Thanks for the comment. PlayStation makes a compelling case with PS+ for consumers - but for those who aren't subscribed to plus, Sony needs to be accountable for having those online issues sorted out.
Sony needs to be accountable for people who have already paid (PlayStation Plus). Both Sony and Microsoft both have their issues.
Point taken, but I am referring to ATLUS as a developer, not a publisher. I think Persona Q is the sort of spinoff that people want, an RPG with characters you love and a new storyline. Granted Persona 4: Dancing All Night will probably sell a lot of units, but it isn't the flagship title Vita needed and I think Vita owners expected. That's an interesting comment, GribbleGrunger! And in terms of "plenty of games" as you've said, would it matter if they are indie or big-name titles?
