It's a 'trial run'. In other words they're using it to sell more premium passes. Once the trial ends, many people will want to buy a pass to play the maps they've been playing for the duration of the 'trial'.
No different from ubisoft offering trials and betas etc.
I prefer how CDPR handled witcher 3 dlc. Naughty dog are great developers, but some of their practices are not pro-gamer.
"we saw how Bethesda treated Fallout customers by pretending the project was expanding, in order to justify bumping up the price".
Digital sales will be up from years ago, so you'd expect disc sales to fall.
Looks like one of these day z type games that pc players buy en masse, call it broken for 2 years and then abandon ship.
It got a very good reception on steam(9/10) from people who bought the game. Alot of xbox players liked it also. With Metacritic, the game gets dragged down by click bait rating such as the 0/10 and 30/100. As someone with both consoles, i'd put Ryse in a similar playing field to Infamous SS, in terms of quality.
We're heading towards a digital future. Shops will close, and smaller publishers may struggle.
This is my 4k post in a 4k article.
Ryse didn't get the credit it deserved because of it being an exclusive for xbox, at a time where the console had negative PR. It was a very useful game.
All arise for the King
I've always felt this game will be a winner, despite mid dev cycle issues.
I'd say similar to the price of the pro. It way have a bit more oomph, but it's arriving a year later. What was the pro 349-399 ?
I think it will be released in the first quarter of 2018. All that gta shark card money is still pouring in.
Have completed both xb1 games. I like Ryse and really like TWD. Very useful month.
UK store has some very good deals. They're on for a while aswell.
Very interesting. So that leaves the question, at what point could bioware have said 'these animations aren't up to scratch, lets do them different' ? ...safe to assume there's a point of no going back.
Thanks to perjoss and all who replied. Great responses all around. Seems like EA don't like re-arranging schedules.
I think you're right. It's almost as if there's many peple who want to see it fail.
Is this game up to much ? Free to play suits me just now. Empty pockets.
