I think they all talk. Devs like to know what they're gonnae be working with. Plus you can only get certain hardware at the console price point, so they have a rough idea.

What i'm saying is that due to the X having good architecture, Sony will have to make sure the 'playstation 5' is better, otherwise it's launch may not be as good as they would like. Unfortunately for Sony though, it will be hard to bring out a console a good bit better than the X, whilst keeping the price down for the consumer. To me Microsoft were being tactical with the X. Remember Yoshida saying he was suprised they brought out a console with ...

The X forces Sonys hand though. Can Sony base a new gen on a console that is similar to the X ? i'm not so sure they can do that. The X was MS raising the bar to an akward place for Sony aswell. You see what i'm getting at ?
I agree. Due to the xbox X, any new gen has to be based on 4k @60fps native. After that gaming will be a subscrption television service. No console required.
Do you buy the X ? ... or wait on the next Xbox ? ...will there be a next generation big xbox release ? ...what's an upgrade on the X anyway, 4k and 60fps alot more commonly ? how do Sony handle this expensive game ?

Seems like a well written piece to me. Perhaps they want to have a reputation for not giving out high scores too easily. They did give god of war a high score.
