most modern stealth mechanics are derived from mgs and it was revolutionary in storytelling rpgs were the only games that had big stories for the most par at that time. mgs has pretty much inspired every story heavy sp game since.

no Kojima is the overall writer and director of every main mgs title. its similar to how film works there are team leads and 2nd directors but everything went through Kojima.
