R2 Is on a league on its own(i'm sorry if reviews don't point it out, but the game is so massive that is just ridiculous, and yes is as great as geow2).
Each of those games can give gears 2 a run for its money.
Don't get me wrong gears is great and i mean GREAT but the PS3 has put way too many choices on the same level as gears to ignore.

I did everything in the instruction for the Xvid Vod thing.
I registered the code, got the video of authentication from de divx player, put it in a flash drive and went to the ps3.
I copy the video from the flash drive to the ps3, played the video(it says that congratulation blah blah), but i don't see any changes or new icons in the PS3.

Mario is an icon that changed the face of video game industry like 10 times over the past 20 years(thats why he became an icon).
I'm really happy with LBP but its just to hard to become an icon with just one game, i can see this game being huge but not icon huge, perhaps with LBP3 we might start calling Sackboy an icon(but not on mario level even then).

Those game changed the shooter on console, they were great games i'm tired of people forgetting those two games.
I think halo:CE is one of the best xbox game perfect in its implementation, but goldeneye and perfect dark were perfect way before halo time.
