The install is a choice you dont have to if you dont want to. When you get the game if you want to jump on right in and play you can and then wait till the time is better for you before you install.

That being able to watch the same movie with up to 8 friends at a time(all being streamed at the same speed so your all watching the exact same scene) nd being able to chat the same time is great. For me that is a huge I mean friends from all over the country can just hang out and watch movies. Anyway I thought that was really cool.
Reason why some people are getting a little touchy about some of the comments is because alot of the time people bash games for no better reason than it is not on there system of choice(you can see this over and over in diff threads). It gets harder and harder to read the comments on here and dig through the fanboy comments to the real comments about what people really think.
How the 360 can be losing steam when the sales of the machine are up from the same time last year and the sales last year are up from the year before. By heading down because 360 sales are up this year from the same time as last year? The demo was great and I think I will pick this one up(my pc is REALLY old and is only used for the net).
A- is still a really great score. Lets face it the game is for the metal gear fan mostly but even with that reviewers still see how much effort and how well put together the game is. I dont like metal gear solid never have and probably never will(unless they make some huge changes then it wouldnt be meatl gear then) but even I can see when a game has been put together great and offers the people who enjoy these types of games a top notch experiance.

Game installs are getting slightly out of hand lol what happend to the good old days of stick a disk in and of you go lol. Pitty devs can do the same as oblivion or uncharted where the just catche data to the hard drive you just need what was it around 2 gigs free no install no room taken.

There might be a couple of reasons why ms choose to not make this annoucement at e3.
1) They wanted to show that even without Halo that they could still creat buzz with there show.
2)The most probable reason I think though is that ms wants to have there big announcements spread out through the year.
