Microsoft don't have a choice really, they just have to convince Epic to keep it exclusive (and thrown some money at them).
I believe Microsoft used to own Bungie. Halo was originally going to be multi-platform before Microsoft purchased them (they've since split and Bungie is independent).
I do not know if Microsoft own Halo, or if Bungie own it.

Sony does own Resistance.
But Microsoft doesn't own Gears of War. Epic does and they can do whatever they so desire with it except release the first two on PS3.

Resistance cannot go to 360 even if Insomniac decided to do 360 games.
I also don't believe Insomniac is big enough to do more than a couple of games and Sony didn't buy them because they preferred to stay independent in which Sony accepted.

I am new to X-Box. I burned the data folder on to a disc and I get the 'mixed media' but I cannot find where to actually access the game.
