Well i still haven't unlocked the pure shadow color scheme that i put many hours into doing what is required to unlock it. So i'd say they havent done enough

They've had it sorted out since the beginning. Maybe if you played it more than a night then you would have realized you can COMPLETELY rework the controls in the settings, to make it control like a different game, relative to the default controls.

Really wish they didn't charge for themes, especially since you can't make your own or get them off the internet like on ps3. I mean its a damn pic/gif and some icon changes. Is that really worth $2-3?if i go on google images i won't be charged to save a picture/gif. It seems so ridiculous to me. I hope they end up allowing people to have/make custom themes/wallpapers eventually.

So many people complaining about bad handling. Are you all too stupid to go into the settings or did you just decide that you hated it right when you started playing? You can completely rework the controls to make it handle like a completely different game. This game is a lot of fun. Its like the new midnight club with a unique twist. Although the customization hasn't quite reached the depth of midnight club, it's the closest any arcade racer has come in a long time.
