I used to be a PC gamer exclusively. But after the original Xbox came out and "promised": Voice Chat, Closed Environment, Cheaterless Multiplayer, comparable graphics, Friends List etc etc.

COD is a franchise .. that took a while to established. It is now very well established.
They give the developer 2 years to complete their new game.
Perks and Killstreaks are simply a step in the evolution of the franchise. Who is to say they will be there in the next iteration.

cheating could be accomplished in the regular Chat. Party chat does not make it any easier. The only difference is that you may have someone listening to your conversation.

Disclaimer (Ati-fanboy .. notreally): I own a Wii but dont play it. I dont think motion-control is all that (do have a 360 Play that a lot).
But The Wii leads in sales by .. a ... lot.
The PS3 drops the price and leads in sales for a couple of months (expected).

Why Can't they make an Xbox a dedicated server.
I remember when Xbox Live first Launched, there was the option in Raibow Six to set your self up as a dedicated server and people would join your match. That was great .. Half my friend's list came from that practice... I had two Xbox and was able to play without any hiccups and people never lagged .. it was great!
