No gamer is going to intentionally buy the inferior version from day one unless they have no other choice. They themselves make the game sell poorly by not making them equal from day one.
Always announcing the Nintendo version a few weeks before launch is just pure stupity...yet it happens every year. All other versions get pre order bonuses, Nintendo versions never do! Ever see them show a commercial showing off the Nintendo version..NOPE,and they could easily do that showin...
They need to stop gimping the U version and give it proper DLC as well as special pre order versions like all the others!
Good to see Retro is constantly hiring. They need to become a much larger developer for Nintendo, to help pump out more first part games.Retro is a fantastic studio, but it takes them too long to put out one game.
Hopefully they can eventually get to the point of having multiple teams making multiple games at once.

Well I was at Nintendo World in NYC at launch and I seen the line that was almost two blocks long. I have a friend who had to go to multiple Gamestops to get the Wii-U bundle and got the very last one at the last one she went to. So no I dont have exact numbers....but I do know its selling like crazy from seeing it myself. Almost every person I know with a U has already picked up the game and the few that didnt plan on getting it.That says a lot on the power of Mario Kart!

Nintendo still has the best chances to succeed in China do to their family friendly IP's. China is very anti violence in their media, so it will be very difficult for Sony and MS to sell games there since most are very violent (example being FPS) etc.

The more gamers like you that take the plunge and get the console,the more of a chance it has to flourish...the longer you wait(and not supporting the system)the more problems it will face in trying to get devs to make content.They are waiting for a bigger install base,so don't hesitate...participate and help it grow.
Do it and try to save up the difference..you will enjoy the system once you own it!
You don't trust Nintendo's online? It is probably the safest out of the three main consoles! Also considering its free compared to the others I can't see why anyone would complain.It may not be as rich in options as Live or Psn...but when devs use it right like in Monster Hunter,COD,or the upcoming Mario Kart I really can't see your issue with it! Plus the addition of Miiverse makes things a lot more enjoyable.
Just give the Wii-U Shenmue 3 since fans have of that series have been waiting forever. Make it an exclusive and I am sure many Sega fans will run to get a Wii-U. We already know about Sonic and Bayonetta two, which I believe Nintendo is publishing....so who knows what else Sega has up their sleaves. Also another Skies of Arcadia would probably get people very excited as well!
How about you guys give Wii-U owners the very first game that was announced for the system !!!!! Everyone has seem to forgotten GHOST RECON ONLINE was supposed to be a console exclusive for the U, that was put on the backburner to finish the PC version....and then nothing!!! WTF Ubisoft?
