Had my first full experience on the PS3 tonight and wow....disappointing, especially after being on Live. The PSN just looks and feels so cheap. Nextflix looks like a Windows program from 1995 and the store reminds me of a BBS.
I will admit this, the console itself has a better offering in terms of components, no question, but other than that, everything about the console seemed very cheap. The controllers felt hollow and small when compared to a 360 controller.

Hmmm, when something is in demand, people usually pay for it, hence more popular, hence justifiable.
Live is clearly superior to the PSN. Dare we mention Home and how miserably it failed? You get what you pay for and with free, you get inferior.

I think everyone is missing the point- the 360 made more money and sold more game titles than the Wii and POS3 combined in November. And sadly, Uncharted 2 may be a great game, but this little game doesn't carry the rep that COD does. Sony has failed from the POS3, the PSP and Bluray. They are all dying. Bluray sales are stagnant, the PSP sales are dismal and POS3 sales are just hanging in there.
hey heroicjanitor, uh the Christmas battle is over. Most of the holiday sales numbers are in November. It's funny, I haven't been on here in over a year and it's just the same crap as ever. It's been how many years now and the PS3 with all it's price cutting and strategizing just isn't what people want. They want Live, Natal and a great 2010! Sony is in trouble and it's just a matter of time.
You guys just don't get it and now you are left with rooting for the PS2 when your PS3 just can never outsell the 360. Sony can't afford to cut prices. They are so far in the red with the PS3. And consider the massive amount of people they had to layoff worldwide. The 360 is doing very well, regardless of the economy.
You can't a prettier picture than the amount of 360 consoles sold than the POS3 for February.

you really have no idea how this business works, do you? Phony banked on Bluray and they failed. BD is not doing well and now you guys are paying for it by way of a lame service, poor titles and a significant loss in mainstream. MS is in the black for every console they sell, which is why they can legitimately price cut. Phony is in the red and here they will stay under the POS3 flag. Sony can drop the price all they want. MS will counter and keep the lead, most likely. MS has several good known exclusives, DLC for GTA, Halo Wars, possibly Alan Wake, more Gears DLC, Halo 3 Recon, several titles unannounced and more new Live features. With Sony losing $4 billion in 2008 and Bluray not really taking off as hoped for, they will improve, but won't narrow the gap in 2009...again.

Get used to it. I expect this to happen a lot more in 2009 and may continue for some time, especially considering the state of the global economy. Companies will be less willing to pay big money for exclusivity, Sony included.
You guys can spin it all you want in your rebuttle, but the facts are facts- the POS3 did very poorly in 2008, the year that you all hailed would be YOUR year. If you want to blame anyone, blame Phony. They invested way too much into Bluray, a format that isn't winning over the masses. And what's even more shameful is that even with the 360's RROD issues, it still continues to win and take steps forward, unlike the POS3 that keeps slipping.
You guys are only fooling yourselves. I seem to remember all the trash talk when Sony outsold the 360 earlier this year and now your tune has changed to, "Nothing to be ashamed about at all..." Their numbers are horrible! Only 1 top 10 title in 2008, selling 1.89 million?!?!?!?! MS sold over 2 million consoles in 2 months. In contrast, Sony sold just over a million. Even if Sony cut the price, they wouldn't have come close.
Sony doesn't deserve it because they haven't earned it. MS started with the community and worked it's way up. One of the smartest things that they did was put a face on their console with Major Nelson.
Selling nearly 30 million units isn't spinning anything. Sony got caught in their own Bluray failure and there's no one to blame but Sony. It's funny how the PS3 supporters will try to use anything to justify why their console is not doing well when simply people just don't want one and would rather have a 360 or a Wii or both. Bluray just isn't selling consoles and that's a fact.
Please, this is the one dinky shiny standout of the entire year for the POS3 so just calm down. 8:1 attach rate for the 360, so in the meantime just STFU.
Once again, MS continues to dominate the POS3. Phony will sell less than a million by end of holiday sales. Pretty pathetic.
Remember back in January and Feburary when the POS3 outsold and how loud the Phonyites were? Awfully toned down in here over the last few months. Hmmm.....Go Green!

Nobody is questioning the #'s because everyone knows that Vgchartz is crap and always has been. When will this age old debate end and who really cares about this crap anymore? So you like your PS3, nice. I love my Xbox, both are doing well, move along.
