They have already released their 3 biggest franchises (Mario Kart, Smash, Mario). Sony and Microsoft have not released their biggest franchises yet (Halo, Uncharted, Gears, Gran Turismo). And there is still Zelda but they have release two quasi Zelda games so I'm not sure how much a real Zelda will matter. Nintendo needs more than 15 announcements.
Splatoon lets you kill kids and spray your ink in their mouths.
I think the menus are actually pretty un-user friendly.
I love MP DLC being free so it doesn't split up the lobbies and gets people to keep coming back, but I think Splatoon is doing it wrong. It needed far more content & unique modes that aren't just generic king of the hill. I love the campaign but I am afraid the MP will be a ghost town in a couple months.
The MP is not worth playing imo unless the new content is better than just generic king of the hill modes on boring maps. I can play this game too: If you disagree with me you haven't played the game.
Just Google the damn game the day it comes out before you purchase. You don't have to be a rocket surgeon. I don't think I have ever bought a broken online game and I don't even bother with the Googling part.
Splatoon is a subpar MP shooter imo. It really isn't worth playing unless more content is added, especially some unique new modes (I really want an awesome horde mode). But the single player is incredibly underrated. Its like a combination of 3D Mario and Ratchet, but with some unique mechanics. I just wish it was longer.
I've never really understood this generic CoD copy and paste BS. The CoD games have dipped in quality but they arent the same game over and over. That generic insult started w MW2 which was very different than the ones before it. Then Black Ops came out and kicked up the "copy and past" crap to an alltime high, but it was VERY different than MW2. It was more run and gun, less strategic, different perks, had Zombies, the top down shooter, much better matchmaking, more options ...
I don't get why people complain about remasters. What do they hurt? They don't usually take away from the development of other games. Saints Row 4 did not interest me at all. I never intended on ever playing, but some how Gamefly sent me the PS4 re-release and I absolutely love it. WIthout the remaster I never would have played. And although it's exactly a remaster, just a port and re-release, I never would have got into Borderlands without the Vita re-release of Borderlands ...
Splatoon's campaign is brilliant IMO. It's a total blast. Its like combining 3D Mario games with Ratchet. Its just too short and there isn't much replay value. I wish there were more hidden areas and harder, remixed versions of each map like Mario 3D World does. Still, it is an amazing single player experience. But its MP is pretty weak. There is extremely little content, it lacks basic features, and there are online problems. On top of that the current modes are generic tak...
Such an underrated game. I'm hoping the new one makes gardens and graveyards more like Overrun so both team take a turn and the quickest time wins
So the PS3 versions will be the superior versions. Weird. I don't get why Sony and Microsoft are doing these cheap remasters. Ultra SF4, God of War 3, Uncharted Nathan Drake, and Gears of War 1.
Kind of like Microsoft re-releasing a Gears Collection that only includes the first Gears game. The one without horde and Overrun and the shortest campaign and most limited multiplayer.
If Sony wins it will be by impressing people with Morpheus. I can't imagine Sony having many other big announcements considering Uncharted Collection was leaked early. I do hope they add some value to PS Now.
They could just look in up by the serial number though and they won't do that anymore.
What pisses me off is Sony's broken in-warranty repairs. I couldn't send my Vita in for a repair without the sales receipt and proving I was the original owner. And if you get it as a gift you can not send it in for a repair unless you have the person who gave it to you send it in.
Only a little over a year and a half late. Sony and all their delays. I will still check it out but I'm not excited for it like I was 2 years ago.
I will get it day one, but I think for it to take off it has to be affordable, have great support day 1, and it needs some sort of motion tracking. It could really appeal to casuals with games like Kinect Sports, dancing games, Kinect Adventures if it could track the body.
I think Sony definetely has more recognizable characters than Nintendo. Nintendo has Mario, Luigi, Donkey Kong, Kirby, Peach, Yoshi, Link, and a couple Pokemon characters. Sony has Ratchet, Clank, Captain Qwark, Dr Nefarious, Crash (possibly), Nathan Drake, Spyro (possibly), Jak, Daxter, Sly Cooper, Nathan Hale, Joel, Ellie, Sweet Tooth, Kratos, the guy from Tearaway, Sackboy, Cole, the guy from the new Infamous, possibly Street Fighter characters, etc. Plus 3rd party characters that are as...
Well the MP is pretty generic. Just two king of the hill modes.
