No wonder developers are boycotting steam. Steam is full of shovelware games

It's about time Steam has competition. Value should be creating more triple A games like Half life 3 instead of sitting back doing nothing.

"correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t this just a glorified remote play?"

It's completely different to remote play. You can stream your games using xcloud, dedicated Azure servers on the go anywhere on Smartphones, PC, Tablets etc... It's similar to Stadia but with built in touch controls on Smartphones.

That was class lol

Remember Halo 4 on smartphone? The leaked version of Microsoft streaming service years ago

"PSNOW has been the only successful video game streaming"

Hmmm... PSNow is the only streaming service that's currently on the market. Wait until Microsoft and Google streaming service releases this year, Sony's revenue will be worse, soo worse they'll have to close down their streaming division.

"PSNow existed for years before Microsoft or Google got it on board, Sony was first."

That's because.... Sony acquired Onlive

"Microsoft’s titles haven’t been GOTY enough to actually make this sound like a legitimate perk. Also while the monthly XGP price is cheaper than PS Now’s, the annual PS Now price is cheaper than XGP’s. "

He was saying Xbox Games Pass offers new day one games. Xbox Game Pass 12 months subscription is about $55 when on sale every year. The joke is Sony charges $20 per month when the casual gamer will more likely purchase monthly. PS Now has ancient games lol

"If you have to pay $9.99 for gamepass then another $19.99 to stream"

The difference is Microsoft has their own Azure infrastructure in place for gaming that has more datacenters localization worldwide than Google and Sony. Unlike Sony, Microsoft doesn't need to rent Servers and all we know Microsoft and Google will probably offer free cloud streaming when purchasing a single game, your entire games library or it'll be included with Xbox Game Pass and Gold...

PlayStation: State of Play was quite underwhelming, focussing on their 4% VR userbase

How do you become a Pirate Legend without progression? You obviously haven't played Sea of Thieves.

GT sports had hardly any content at launch and still it has no single player lol

"Sony also have the advantage of putting their world class exclusives on PS Now if they choose which would be a huge incentive for the service."

Can you play new triple A games on PS Now like Assassin Creed? Nope.. You'll have to wait 5 years for Sony to add games that's limited to 720p via streaming, while Google offers 1080p to 4k streaming.

2493d ago 4 agree45 disagreeView comment

No, PlayStation Now is currently limited to 720p, while it still needs a high Download Speed.

"Google Stadia's Price Could Help It Beat xCloud"

Rumour: Microsoft could let you stream your games library you already own for Free on any devices.

Why are you being downvoted for stating facts?

What are you on about? Epic has been raining in cash since the creation of Unreal Engine.

I don't thinks PlayStation 4 version won't be a decent value since no PlayStation 3 EA games aren't backwards compatible on PlayStation 4.

Since DirectX12 was built around Windows 10, it will always offer superior performance compared to Windows 7

I think you're getting confused with Xbox Live and Xbox Live Gold
