Yeah, Life is Strange is an example of how a plot can immerse you in a world without needing an open-world. That sort of storytelling is really special in gaming, when it's done right.

There aren't hundreds of games, but what it has is almost all amazing. I love all the systems, although I'm glad I've gotten a whole lot of mileage out of my Wii U, I wasn't expecting that. Quality over quantity, I'd say.
I wonder if they'll be taking Crisis Core into consideration as canon, since a bit more can done to reference those events in the remake now.

For sure, each one really made waves in their own way. This really was a great year in gaming across the board, one of my favorites of recent years.
I'm super tempted to finally play Destiny now with The Taken King out, it sounds pretty awesome. Also, definitely, Splatoon's DLC kept me coming back frequently just to see what was new week after week. Still staying fresh.
Stuff like that reminds us that all of us are people with a shared passion, and that makes us more of a community than anything.

The stretch goal was for a four-player battle mode, but no news on whether or not that will actually get made. I'm sure they didn't anticipate amiibo being a thing when the goals were written, so plans were changed. I dig it, though.
I'm loving this new phenomenon of playing games blindfolded, like the guy that beat Ocarina of Time entirely blindfolded. They are sorcerers.
It will probably need more graphical power, which means more expensive hardware, which means raising prices, which Nintendo probably wouldn't do on account of them always aiming for that wider, affordable option. If not that, then it needs another really strange idea like the Wii to really shake things up. Who knows yet.
