Always wanted to try it, see for myself how it compares to FM6. My problem is that those types of games require a great deal of investment in terms of time and I simply can't afford to play two of them in-depth.
Its a good point. I wonder how the comparative revenues stack up. Regardless, high software sales is never a bad thing.

Too many AAA failures this year. Hardware sales seem to be strong but game sales seem to be down.

Supply cant meet demand so lets stop all marketing for the product?!? really?!? I would see that as a reason to fuel marketing and hype for a product, not to take your foot of the gas pedal. Keep demand high!!! Why let consumers potentially think that VR was a passing fad or a failure by just going quiet???
Rubbish. Sony is the first to jump on the numbers bandwagon when they make for good reading. If PSVR had hit original sales estimates you would know about it. As it stands Sony have basically said they are happy with PSVR sales even though they revised down their estimate.
Sony did the same thing with Vita. Sales fell well below estimates so they started bundling sales numbers together the PSP to make for better reading.

Why can't Sony and Nintendo get portable devices right! They both release some good handheld devices, the Vita being incredible at the time, but then they gimp them with lack of features!

I would love to know how many actual owners of consoles there are. Some on N4G would have you believe that 50 million different households now have a PS4 which is highly unlikely to be the case.
What's needed in these charts is the drop in gaming revenue year on year. Gamers for whatever reason seem to be buying less games. Who cares if a console has an install base of 100 million if only 1% of that install base buys a game.
I can see it doing those sorts of numbers as well however, this is what's wrong with gaming. Doesn't seem to matter how many consoles Sony or MS shift the attach rate for most games still remains really low. 50 million consoles and only 500k copies sold. That's a lot of PS4 owners that are not buying the game!
Yeah....follow the thinking through...it starts out as the XB1 not having as many exclusives as the PS4...evolves to the XB1 having almost no exclusives...to now the XB1 failing in the games dept. I agree that the XB1 could do with more AAA exclusives but to suggest the XB1 fails in the games dept. is pure hyperbole.
All gaming is a "money hole" as you call it. Its not like accessories for any of the consoles are priced at what I would consider a reasonable price. Sony, MS and Nintendo are also all guilty of not being fully open with the full cost of their systems. People are just more tolerant of the costs for their system of choice.
You touch upon the one real selling point of the Switch for me vs a standard gaming console. My PS4 and XB1 both sit at home during the day gathering dust. A device like the Switch can easily go with me and therefore I could get maximum use from it. However, for me I would need the Switch to have proper media support as well otherwise I'd end up just taking my tablet.
Yet again a general report about the state of gaming and its turned into yet another pissing contest on N4G.
How much money did MS pour into this game? how much did they allow deadlines to be stretched? How much longer did the developer say it would take yet they still failed to meet their renegotiated milestones?

I thought that too but then you realise they can hardly say its not as good as FM6. Have to do some positive PR and marketing.
