Rather than wasting both their time and their money, they ought to arrange to do things like this in places that actually care about either product. Sure, there are some Japanese gamers who love both Xbox and Assassin's Creed, but they are in the extreme minority and the money would be far better spent in territories that actually buy the Xbox i.e. North America/United Kingdom.
I'm really looking forward to the themes too!
What people aren't seeing is the fact that it isn't the Kinectless sku that has doubled sales. Have they had any promotions/offers running recently for any of the bundles? In the UK the Titanfall bundle was heavily discounted for a large amount of time in June.
Sony won it for me. When watching Microsoft's conference I was incredibly excited about all of the amazing third-party games they were showing one after the other, but I will be playing them on my PlayStation 4. During Sony's conference - despite the lull - I saw exclusive games that look incredible and was genuinely excited about what they would show next.
I think they have it wrong and the actual clue is the two sets of old-school PlayStation buttons. Perhaps two old franchises are coming home - Crash Bandicoot anybody? PLEASE be Crash Bandicoot!
Of course, I could be (and probably will be) wrong, as the disc does have E3 Megaton's written on it, and it does beep five times. One way or the other I am sure that Sony is going to have a HUGE E3 this year. Why else would they be streaming it to movie theatres? It could be for ...
It is definitely an interesting discussion, but I think Sony will win in all aspects, including entertainment. Microsoft may appear to cover more bases at the moment with their hdmi in option, but Sony are looking at creating an Internet-based TV service. Microsoft backed cable TV which is slowly but surely dying out and being replaced by Internet based alternatives. As people we want ease of access and less clutter in our homes, we want cheaper alternatives to satisfy our entertainment needs...
As somebody who made the mistake of buying an Xbox 360 last generation, I cannot freaking wait to play this game! I watched a let's play on YouTube and the game had incredible emotional punch, now I can't wait to experience it first hand and cry like a baby at that opening scene!
Edit: On a side note, Sony are incredibly smart doing this as The Last of Us is no longer an unknown property. It sold very well and has become very well known as a masterpiece even outside o...
Either he has this wrong or the game has been deliberately gimped. Call of Duty manages to run at 60 frames-per-second on last-gen hardware so why can't Titanfall take a visual hit and also manage the same frame-rate?
Sony should get on the Batman game and create a custom Arkham Knight console, it would look awesome and it would fit well as the PlayStation 4 aesthetic imitates Batman's technology very well.
Yes I want to know that too! My money is on Crash Bandicoot as it is the only series I know that is synonymous with the PlayStation brand, although I did like the theory about a new Mass Effect game being announced.
Quite possibly because my laptop could run Titanfall well - not that I intend to play it - whereas I imagine The Witcher 3 will tax all but the most powerful of gaming rigs.
You can guarantee that shipments - LARGE shipments - will be sent to all stores just before/during the inFAMOUS launch. Sony are on a serious roll at the moment and they are executing everything perfectly, they are not about to let stock issues hinder the release of one of their first major exclusives.
Now they have to reap what they've sown and watch as Sony massacre them throughout the entirety of this console generation.
Personally, I'm fairly sure that I'll never buy an Xbox, and Microsoft sold me on buying the PlayStation 4 as much as Sony did. They dropped support for the 360 entirely at the back end of the its life-cycle, and then you look at the ridiculous policies they tried to impose and it's simple. I also take their lack of investment when it co...
