Not happening, SONY isn't going backwards. Hard drives will be standard in the next system.

That being said the 2 questions I would have is...

1) how many gigs?
2) Will they go proprietary?
MS made a killing this gen selling proprietary HDs, and SONY is now cleaning up with proprietary Memory Cards for the PSVITA.

So I could see SONY putting only 160GB Hard Drives in at launch and then selling 320GB, 500GB, ...
I love the graphics, and atmosphere in Killzone games.

This is a great idea if SONY does this with all of their 1st party multiplayer games it would definitely give them an advantage.
Like the Wii shared ports with PS2. The Wii U will share ports with the PS3 & 360.

The other hurdle I see with the Wii U is when it comes out it will be the most expensive console on the market, only to play the same games the 360 & PS3 have.

Nintendo guys will buy it for Mario, Zelda, Metroid etc., but the system is going to be a
hard sell to PS3/360 guys (offers games they already have or can get on their system).
