As much I hate the Halo franchise, I couldn't get enough of Halo: CE. That was THE GOTY when it was released. Almost everything about it was a masterpiece: the story, the atmosphere, everything.
There's just as many other "fanboys" who hate the PS3 ones, so I don't think anyone's a minority.
As much as I think she is blowing the "video game" issue out of proportion, I don't blame her one bit. She grew up in a world without video games, and she has found solace and knowledge through books, in which my opinion, kids do not go near anything with pages anymore, which is sad.

MGS4 is backed up by a huge fanbase. The MGS series have been with us for over ten years. I think that's why people say MGS4 is better than the two.

Your "graphics" complaint is pathetic. So a developer can't strive to make their game look better than other games, because it's "stealing"? You disgust me.
I think to make co-op in DS2 (if they have it) scary is to force separation between the two players, just like RE5, but more often; in RE5, you stuck with your partner about 90% of the time. I think in DS2, it should be about 50-50. But then again if you add co-op to a horror game that reduces the horror level significantly.
A good combination with the old and new; I want to feel a slight sort of nostalgia when playing a game while at the same time being blown away with something I haven't seen or played before.
I would also like it if the developers don't put virtually %90 of the emphasis on multiplayer; I want to be immersed into the characters and plot, although I perfectly understand it is not as good as a book or a film.

I don't think so. I mean, for those that bought L4D1 AND 2 will feel like they got ripped off because it's essentially one game for the price of two. So I don't think Valve will add anything major to the first one.
No one gives a crap about L4D1 anymore... which is pretty sad..
