I think consoles will always be pushing into new things. the 360/ps3 are both examples but even the wii with its controls. competition will always drive companies to try and gain the upper hand with new features and new tech that allows for more realistic or fun gameplay. in my opinion i think the pc will cease being a gaming platform as the consoles become more like computers and as a result the advantages of having a pc just become standard features like the option to use a mouse and keyboa...

I'm glad sony finally dropped the price (even though im kicking my self for paying 600 bucks for a sixty-gig) and maybe things might start looking up for the old ps3.
