Agree'd that the whole console war is stupid. But i'll NEVER like the 360's controller more than the DS3. Thus a reason why I prefer to game on PS3... Although ALOT more of my friends own 360's.

If I made a list about why I won't buy these older games, lack of trophy support would be number 1.
Shame since I beat the CRAP out of MGS4, first ps3 game I ever played.
Only game that sounds good on that list is Twisted Metal. Why? Because It won't be a colossal disappointment.
FFXIII wasn't a cookie cutter game because they stopped half way making the damn dough.
Oh and the music comment? There was a full sound track of EXTREMELY generic techno songs that to my memory, I can't tell apart. But what really ground my gears was that terrible and I mean TERRIBLE American artist song that played at LEAST 70+ times throughout the game at EVERY moment that featured: Walking, sorrow, unnecessary sadness, staring out into a distance or blah blah blah...
Square Enix would have to pull a mighty big boot out of their asses if they expect me to buy a prequel to one of the worst game I have EVER played in my life. I can't trust reviewers on rating this game (as they obviously only looked at the graphics of the last and gave it a 9), so I'm going to either leave it for debate amongst my fellow N4Gers or rent it.

I personally think that it was never fun. In my childhood I owned a SNES, where as my friend owned a SEGA. I never really enjoyed Sonic as much as his counterparts (aka Mario/Earthworm Jim/James Pond (LOL)). But hey it wouldn't have gotten to where it is if others didn't enjoy it.
Lol reviews on the run gave the ps3 version a 0.0/10 and the xbox version a 0.5-1.0/10.
Game is seriously a disgrace.
