has it listed as 11/11/2008 with simultaneous release date for PS3, 360, and PC. I'm guessing the June date is a typo or they forgot to mention "next year".
I had the 4 controller version of this, but I sold 2 controllers so I think I may trade that in and pick this up instead:P
I'm pretty sure that nobody would cancel their purchase, even if they do care about the resolution. It's pretty much a pointless fact that will unfortunately be brought up with every new game that comes out this generation.

to assume that it is too late for anyone to do anything in this console war right now. The PS3 and Wii have only been out for 1.5 years, and the only console that should be in its prime is the 360. I personally think it is incredible what Sony is already giving us for completely no charge at all. This article was just another fanboy's attempt at getting hits on his site.
in part, because you are right that this is not the mass market price. However, anyone that was on the fence about getting a PS3 could be swayed towards buying one now that there is a really good bundle available. Sony, like most companies, is trying to make as much money as possible, and they would not put this together if they didn't think it would attract more customers. anyone can see that it is written directly on the box. The only thing that hurts people is the bad advice or misinformation they get from sales people in the store they are purchasing their PS3 at. I would think that most people would do some research before making a $399.99 investment, but maybe that's just me.

I'm just happy that we are getting it at all. I remember a few months back when In-Game XMB seemed like wishful thinking. I was really hoping it would be here before Metal Gear, though.

As for the main topic, I don't really care about all these games running in below-HD resolutions. The only HD I ever cared about when I bought my PS3 was the movies. I'm sure NG2 is still a good game, and I'm sure it's insanely difficult:P
was actually pretty insightful, and one of the few blog posts that are worthy of being posted here on N4G.com. I found it interesting that they usually start development on the PS3 first now, because it is harder to code for. That actually does make sense, though, and I'm glad they are starting to do that more and more. I can't wait to see more multiplatform games that look equally impressive on both consoles.
Home really does seem like a good idea, especially when you consider The Sims is the best selling franchise in video game history. For the people that don't like it, you don't have to pay for it or anything, so there's not really a big risk in trying out when it becomes available. I'm so ready to finally have a HOME:)
either of these games turns out to be GOTY, I will be highly surprised. We really shouldn't have another shooter for GOTY. It would be nice to see LittleBigPlanet end up winning GOTY:)

I will be highly surprised if Resistance 2 outsells Gears 2, but I agree that Resistance 2 will most likely have the better multiplayer. I for one, will be buying Resistance 2 since I do not have a 360 currently. Neither game will be an epic failure.
in video game history is that of Sonic the Hedgehog. Sonic started out so amazingly on the Sega Genesis, but he could never quite make the transition into 3D gaming. I still hold out great hope for Sonic Unleashed, but I'm not expecting much. On second thought, low expectations may be good for Sonic now.
