I, for one, do not like multiplayer-only games usually. I'd much rather have a great story, but that being said, online multiplayer is where the sales are really going to pile up. COD4 had a great campaign, but I bet the multiplayer had bigger draw to it. Also, the biggest games this year, MGS4 and GTAIV, both had nice multiplayer aspects included with them. unfortunately buying a 360 wouldn't solve your problems seeings as it's been known for even longer that Microsoft is developing another wiimote clone. Also, take a look at the casual games coming out for the consoles this year versus the hardcore. It's about even.

I can't say that I'm surprised by this after The Getaway and 8 Days were both axed. The lack of online multiplayer for Heavenly Sword 2 would be a big hinderance as well. The game was great, but I don't think the game impressed enough to warrant a second, single player-only game. I hope Uncharted 2 has some online aspect to it, but I'm sure we will get it regardless since it is a title that PS3 fans/owners can really brag about.

I actually found your list to be a better one IMO. It's nice to see big titles coming out on the PSN as well as BD.
I thought it was more important for MGS4 to move consoles. I'm pretty sure nobody expected it to outsell GTAIV in terms of software, but it's doing a good job of moving hardware so far. It's actually doing a MUCH better job than GTAIV did.
Only a blind fanboy would say that 400k is a low sales debut with only 2 days of possible data acquired. No one ever expected MGS4 to outsell or come close to GTAIV. That being said, the game far surpasses GTAIV in every other way.
