want to see something stating that 12 million consumers have purchased GTAIV worldwide. 12 million copies may have been sold to stores, but not to consumers. GTAIV barely outsold Halo 3, so it is possible that Resistance 2 could post some amazing numbers. I just don't see it selling some incredible amount. Don't get me wrong, it will sell millions, I just doubt that any of us will be shocked by how many copies it sells.
Resistance 2 sells 5-6 million copies. Gears of War 2 will outsell Resistance 2 this Fall, though. However, I still think Resistance 2 will present a better value between the 8 player co=op with different story, and the great multiplayer. I'll be picking up GeOW2 for the campaign pretty much, and I'll enjoy ever second of it:P
when did GTAIV sell 12 million copies?
I guess we're not going by the number of copies sold to consumers? I'd prefer those numbers which are around the 8.5 million range, still very impressive.
I was pretty sure the only way to get a platinum trophy was by getting all the other trophies first. This game is amazing, though, and I can't wait to download it tomorrow.
I hope they change the title to just "Batman" or something and don't try to tie this in with the movie at all. We could use a really good Batman game, but we won't get one if it is a movie tie-in. See: Iron Man. lol
already said just after Prologue came out that we would be getting a damage update later this year. Damn, be patient, it's just a prologue.
the title is extremely misleading people. If you read the actual post, there is nothing in there that says anything about any cancellations. This is all speculation.
I already own 2 PS3's, but nice try.
the difference in file sizes between music and movies (especially HD) is vast. Until the average internet connection speed is greatly increased in the US, DD will only be a form of rental. People also argued that blu ray would lose to HD DVD because Betamax lost to VHS, but we have all seen that history doesn't always repeat itself.
do drop the price of the 40GB, I will be picking up another PS3 for sure. It would be nice to have a blu ray player in every room in my house:P
Do you remember how long it took us to get Star Wars and Indy on DVD? I think it was about 3 or 4 years into DVD's existence.
as much as I want to love MGO, I find myself constantly going back to COD4 online and replaying the MGS4 story. Why is that? Because Konami online=epic FAIL.
to do so, I agreed, and I genuinely thought that comment was pretty funny. Now please tell me something that makes the 360 leaps and bounds better than the PS3 so the universe can go back to normal. lol
your terrible grammar made it almost painful to read that comment. lol. With your use of double and triple negatives, I almost began to wonder if you were trying to secretly support the idea that blu ray was expanding. lol
BTW, I was just playing with that Gamesblow crack the other day. I don't think you are him, and I really never cared either way.:P
has not really moved at all this year, so I don't see how one could say that it is "picking up steam". If you meant picking up steam in terms of it being more readily available, then you may be partially correct, but in terms of sales, movies haven't been doing much better than normal in the digital distribution department. Most people in the US still have very very slow internet connections, so downloading full movies (let alone HD movies) can take multiple hours.
doesn't matter if you believe it or not. This story is actually pretty old, and it was commented on by Jack Tretton a couple of weeks ago. It's cute that you don't want to believe though. The also did mention a couple figures, but I wouldn't expect you to read the article when you don't own a blu ray player.
Um... if you reported it, you would've noticed that I actually reported this already. "looks like corporate gobbledygook to me"- lol. I guess that was your pr...
don't have to walk anywhere to launch the game still. You can immediately launch a game from a disc anywhere in Home. Then again, it's not like you are intelligent or anything.
to find out that Yahoo! was just bitter about the whole MS thing and that is why they continue to post this nonsense. There really is no point to this article as the avatar systems are simply extra features that we can choose to use or not to use, and as you said, you can just make the game launch upon inserting it. Yahoo should leave the gaming articles to people that actually know anything about gaming, or at least wait until WE, the gamers, complain about our EXTRA features.
glad to see that others are really picking up on Blu Ray. I really enjoy building my blu ray library, and the movies look absolutely incredible. The prices seem to be getting cheaper already, and I was able to pick up Batman Begins, The Mummy, The Mummy Returns, and The Perfect Storm at Blockbuster for $19.99 each. It's amazing that blu ray could own up to %12 of the market by the end of this year.
You do realize that the PS3 has outsold the 360 in NA so far this year, right? Do you never visit this site, or do you not own one of the consoles? I'm sorry, you just seem very out of touch around here.
