Most systems are not worth buying on release, both the PS3 and 360 launch line ups were terrible.

Ive never tried Nvidia 3d, is it good ? its a lot of money to spend for something im not sure about.
I have an ATI card so would need a monitor, GPU & monitor.
I don't like it when content is released so soon after release. Makes me think they had already made it and did not include it on the disc so they can get more $
I don't like the fact that Crysis was the cutting edge of pc graphics but this one only has 3 graphics settings.

Crytek have sold ouot and also lied about the pc version not been gimped.
God of war is cool but so is Ninja Gaiden.

If you are going to spend all that $ on a laptop I would make sure you get a DX 11 capable one so it is not outdated when you buy it.
Not really into gaming laptops myself but you should be able to find one that is DX11 capable
As much as I loved Crysis 1, I have to agree that the new one is not that great.
4870 isn't dx11 so you won't be able to max new games
Thats because it doesn't have huge open levels.
Bad console port imo, it even says press start when the game loads up!

I thought crytek said the pc version would not suffer because it is also on consoles.

5770 is a mid range card, thats why it chugs when you enable the high end features
graphics settings consist of Gamer, Hardcore & something else (forgotten it!!!!) thats it.
Crysis 1 had loads of graphics options, this is clearly just a console port :(

Personally I use piracy as a try before you buy scheme, I 'tried' Bulletstorm today and discovered that it was crap so im not going to buy it.
Devs force me down the piracy route (for try before I buy) by not releasing demos.
