I'l be very surprised if it gets released in 2019, i'm sure the scorpio altho more powerfull than the Ps4 pro, there won't be much difference in games, maybe something similar in power difference between the xbox one and standard ps4.
2020 sounds about right,my guess is around the 12-15tf mark.
Heres the twist tho, microsoft have always stated they wont let sony release a new gerneration console before theres, now im calling it that both next gen machines will be rel...
Your missing my point.
Ive just bought a ps4 pro very recently on the basis on the leaked specs of the switch,i want to play Nintendo games and the top 3rd party games.
Now if i want to do that i have to buy 2 consoles instead of 1.
See where im coming from?
Think it maybe decent for a handheld but the docked specs are pretty pathetic.
Whats the point of doing a half baked console spec wise that will struggle to hit 1tf in 2017 ,especially with the rise of 4k tvs?
Just bring out a powerfull console or super doc,was hoping for it to be on par with the ps4 at least so 3rd party games can be ported over
Madness really,Wii u all over again.
Itl be v interesting to see the 3rd party support in the second year.
That will be proof of how the console will pan out.
Dissapointed in the so called specs and price so far.
Decent idea at heart but for me they needed to include better specs in the doc.
Why not have a super doc with specs near between ps4 and pro so 3rd party games could be ported over?
Personally,id like to have seen the switch at £200 with the super doc at £300-£325,take a hit on the console but claw the money back through accessories/online/games.
This all crys foul of a Wii u 2,it will app...
No way,and it cert wont look as good as that pic!
2019 earliest,2020 more like it.
Even if scorpio is more powerfull,it wont be a massive difference.
Ps4 pro is made for vr and the specs will be sufficient.
Because i i dont have a 4k tv?
How many 4k discs can u buy?
There still far too expensive to sell to the mass.
Adding a drive would have added extra cost to the console, which is pointless if most are not going to utilise it.
Theyl take years to take off fully,by that time the ps5 will be out.
I do think they should still bring 2 versions out though, one with/without.
Glad to see see others are happy too.haha!
Over the moon with this announcement.
Never had a Playstation since the PS1 days, always been with Microsoft since the original xbox, since getting burned with the worst games console in history that is xbox one ive been paitiently waiting for this announcement,it ticks many boxes:
£350 -check
Enhanced fps and visuals-check
Compatible with previous ps4 games - check
Optical out-check
No 4k blu ray -check
Future proof for vr upg...
If that does happen then its almost certain the specs will have been bumped up even further
It does seem like a glut of hardware releasing at the same time, but heres my take on how things will pan out:
Sony releases the slim,vr and neo (higher boosted spec than 4.2tf,maybe 5.5tf thereabouts) this year to work the vr (amd have announced this in april and devs have confirmed vr needs more power).
They offer package deals with vr/neo/ and poss cheapo 4k tvs included to get people on board.
They drop the price when scorpio comes out as sony keep on banging on ...
Your maybe right,Sony has done a u turn and have been hinting that the Ps4 is now powerfull enough for VR, so maybe there trying to sell the Ps4 slim as a stop gap?
But i wouldnt rule it out this year too,The ps4 slim has been kept a secret until this week and thats more or less confirmed for the next 6 weeks.
Why not the Neo?
Also AMD have more or less announced 3 specs are out this year.
Id say its 50/50.
With no showing at E3 with rumours the Neo presentation was cancelled last min due to Scorpio being announced I can only assume they have been upgrading the specs,or,they bring the rumoured 4.2tf console this year and an upgraded version to compete late next year or early 2018.
Either way, i cant see Sony releasing a console thats much weaker, they have to compete and will compete.
The silence id deafening!
What if,and its still a big if if,Sony have there console in production and Microsoft know this?
If the Neo is coming out in Oct then the first batches of console should just about be rolling off the production line?
Got my suspicions that this is a fake.
If the patent was only bought last December then that means even if this was a prototype it all seems a bit rushed for this to be designed, made and shipped within 3 months.
Also, why are no pictures showing the console/system its connected too?
Unless of course the console is put back to 2017,which wouldnt make financial sense.
1-Fit for purpose from day one
2-Abondon constant system updates
3-Keep the disc drive but make it actually possible to play a game straight away, every time.
4-Go back to the 360 joypads
5-Concentrate the system on games, not everything else
6-Make it a proper next gen console, not like the Xbox One in essence is really a Xbox 360.5
This gets much worse and i'l seriously think about switching to pc gaming, although the hardware is more expensive long term it maybe worth it.
Ive just splashed out £330 for a ps4 pro, then iv'e got the games and network on top.if i didnt have cod or battlefront on pre-order i wouldn't pay it.
How come it went from free to £50 per year? surely if they could with costs when it was free they can cope now?
Very greedy and sneaky on sonys behalf.
