Well i'm sure glad i won't be one of the elite. It's a scam people. Activision know they will not be able to compete with BF3 new frostbite engine. so, they need to re-invent, and this is how they do it. at the same time they are gonna charge you monthly for it. for it to work they are gonna have to make it more value for money than your quaterley map packs. I'm in agreement with cliffbo on this one.It's simple, they are just out to rip us off. It's up to me what i do with my £40 game, if i want to sell it thats my business. the developers have already had the money from when i bought it. who are they to add a second hand tax? trying to kill the middle-man is just stupid. i know of a independant gameshop who makes most of their profit from the second hand market. are you trying to put them out of business? i think so.

I simply do not trust developers anymore as i've played too many buggy games. I do feel like i pay to play some games as a bug tester(hence the username) as the post-launch support just isn't there(just look at MW2) I personally will not be buying the game well, not at launch anyway. i also agree and think Battlefield 3 will steal cods thunder...finally!!
just typical of cod fans' reaction. Too many people take the game too seriously. It's the main reason i don't play cod anymore. Remember the reason we play games in the first place, for fun! cods is just not fun anymore. I really do hope this is the best call of duty of em all, cos that means all the people that love cods will still love it, and that will keep them off of BF3!
