Someone else who agrees: http://www.mcvuk.com/news/3...
The Times is owned by Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation. One of the few big media companies in the world with no interest in game publishing. So up to now his organisation (including Fox News) have felt that were are obeying the bosses orders when they slag games.
Buy maybe now Rupert is going to buy into the games industry. Maybe he has sent out the orders "Be nice to games". It will be interesting to see.
This article is not directly about the American presidential election. It is one of a series of articles I have written that expose the ignorance of self publicist politicians and journalists who use video games as a scapegoat to further their own ends. In the UK our prime minister, Gordon Brown, has blamed video games for knife crime, which is patently ridiculous and stupid. Yet the press report it and people believe it.
The book Grand Theft Chidhood will be published soon and I hope ...
But a lot of Brucongames predictions turn out to be pretty accurate:

And it is the top story
Some April 1 stories have been approved and are now top stories!!
GTA IV Hot Coffee and Fastest Internet Connection, for instance.
This story has now been sent out as a newsflash by the trade newspaper MCV http://www.mcvuk.com/news/3...
What a silly article.
Just scaremongering like the worst of the gutter press in order to get attention.
Byron timetable is two years to implementation. Product evaluation for 18+ will be BBFC, just like it is now. He doesn't know what he is talking about.

The Xbox was a PC in a different box.
The 360 is definitely not. It is a completely different animal. It uses a different kind of processor, it has a different bus system and a different memory architecture. You are totally wrong.
If you look at what I have posted on here it has mostly been very popular indeed. So I am giving the reader what the reader wants.
Unlike most I have extensive game industry experience since the very first Apple 2 games in 1979. Every day I talk to people who work in many companies throughout the industry. From QA to CEO. Maybe this is why people find my articles interesting.
You try writing a blog about the games industry with a new article every day and see how...
How many less would they have sold by not going first? Everyone in the industry recognises that Microsoft had a very big first mover advantage.
It says the opposite of what you think. Here is a quote:
"This because the PS3 is still so undeveloped as a product in the market, it has a long way to go."
Did you guys know that Microsoft get money from every PS3 sold?
The Blu-ray drive uses the VC-1 Codec which is a Microsoft invention.
Sony have won the format war.
But it has cost them enormously in the console war.
Hence a phyrric victory.
There are hundreds of aricles on my blog.
If you read a few you would know that I am definitely not a 360 fanboy.
Where you are now is where everyone is heading.
Which makes Sony's actions using the PS3 as a Trojan horse for Blu-ray look even less bright.
Theirs is a phyrric victory.
By not including an HD optical drive Microsoft could launch much earlier and much cheaper.
Sony, who didn't have these advantages, have thus been so far outperformed and Microsoft Xbox division is making money for the first time.
Total number of stand alone bluray players in europe is 34,000, HD-DVD is 51,000
However, when you add in PS3 it becomes 3.2 million bluray. But only 2.3 million bluray disks sold.
Not really.
They took a different pitch at the article and didn't mention the piracy aspect at all.
