Actually the 3ds did get some competition from the Vita and handily beat it down(sales actually picked up even more AFTER the Vita released) the price cut came in what August? Since the price cut it has PICKED up sales week on week worldwide...Both Mario games (and Zelda 3d)are all Multi -million sellers now..the 3ds just broke records for one week sells in Japan and some all time sells records(over Gamecube and selling faster than the Wii)- but hey let's give it a "few" more bu...
I think they both look great! It amazes me that we have portables nowadays that can pull this off! A lot better looking than most ios crap!

And before I get a lame response about 2 day sells vs.a week-I could care less..the 3ds has been progressively picking up sales week on week for the last couple of months and that has not changed even with the release of the Vita-also Damn near every new portable that launches in Japan sells like hotcakes..check back next and let's see who has sold more.

This guy obviously has not played Skyward Sword(or any other Zelda for that matter) this game is different from every other Zelda out there-from pacing,structure,story ,controls to cut scenes and visuals and music-this is the NEW standard for Zelda games ...played MW3 the other day at a friends house -could not really see the difference except for some minor little tweaks like weapons-it even seems to be using the same engine as MW2..lame.
Now why would Mario want a Vita when he already has an amazing little system called the 3ds?
Got this game and MK7 for Christmas! I also bought Skyward Sword but I just couldn't wait on that one...now that I have finished the main quest on Skyward Sword(still have tons of side stuff to do)-I am finding it really hard to wait on this game for another couple of weeks.
Zelda FTW!! I see a few people bashing Skyward Sword in here and all I can say is that they obviously have not played it..forget game of the year..this game should be crowned game of this generation-period.

I do not think that we played the same game..familiar path? I was amazed and surprised at every turn..the story,controls and pacing are much different-what more is there to change?
I know right? The Mining facility has got be my favorite dungeon of all time..it is that good!
I'm currently on the Sandship..and all I can say is what a game!!I have to admit that it started pretty slow and didn't pick up for me until somewhere around the second dungeon..and the controls did not click for me until then either..but man once you get past the intro and the controls really start "clicking" -look out cause your life is gonna suffer!! best game ever..
