Good article. I used to pick up the official PSM just to get the demo disk but once the new gen started that went out the window, now demos are direct download.
Things changed quite a bit and the internet has taken over. Notice how fanboyism is at an all time high this generation? You never used to see stuff like what happens on blogs and boards going on before.
This is insane, I don't think Disney is playing games anymore. They see that they need to change to survive and buying Marvel just might do it. A few good Marvel comics movies and they will get this money back easy.

there are quite a few things they can do such as improve the fans, use better quality parts and redesign the casing. They don't have to make it bigger necessarily, they just need to change the position of the things that are inside or improve the quality of the materials that compose the 360.
at the end of the day it's broke and they need to fix it, but I guess if they were going to do that they would have already.
The proprietary hard drive is a good point but I never said it had to be slimmer, I only asked why they didn't redesign it. I don't care if it is slimmer or what, they should just make a new enclosure, update some of the things that they know are a problem and release a new model. Hopefully when Natal comes out they will do something like this otherwise 360 sales may go down, price drop or not.
But that was not my point, my point is if Sony can do it then why can't Microsoft? Say what you want, and yes I agree the price is the key here, but if Sony can come with a redesign why can't Microsoft when their console has had the most problems?
Upgraded chipsets didn't do it so they need to go deeper into it and redesign it unless the new xbox is really coming out in 2011, then I guess it doesn't matter. If it is going longer than that they need to do something.

This is just the beginning. The real reason everyone should be happy is because it is cheaper, especially if you don't have one yet. This whole 360 vs PS3 thing is old, I say buy both and this will help people who couldn't/wouldn't afford it before to buy it now.
PS3 still has to make up 8 million sales worldwide and that will take a while. Both consoles have good features but to me PS3 has more bang for your buck (Blu Ray, Free Online, movie download service, great exclusive PSN...

Well only a portion is comparing, obviously people want things others have it's human nature. The rest is telling Sony to get off their butts and handle it. I respect everyone's opinion because they are entitled to it but the article is not about comparing so much as it is about the fact that features that Sony already has they do not make mandatory.

Obviously u didn't read the article. I stated that even though I may not care about those features many people do. I still do everything I need to do on the PS3 with no problem, but many people want them and as a company that depends on consumers to purchase their products, they need to do that for the ones who want it.
