My wife wants a Kindle Fire for reading. I want it for games!
I sell mine locally through a free classifieds site, or trade them on Goozex. I cannot even guess how much money Goozex has saved me in two years of using it. Such a good site.
Down with the GameStop!
There were a couple arcade machines at our local pool when I was 11 or so. To this day the smell of chlorine and the taste of grape Laffy Taffy reminds me of Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter.
I like the idea of Kevin Butler as a playable character, for sure :) Cole from inFAMOUS would be fun. Like a much better Pikachu.
If I had a 360 with Kinect, I would go straight for Once Upon a Monster. My 18-month-old son *loves* Sesame Street. And Double Fine is consistently cool.
Such good memories of Combat Evolved. Making my friends mad with the pistol was always a blast.
Collaboration! Quantic Dream would do awesome with the crime solving and detective stuff.
I figure it could tie into the movie interpretation, but the timing could be independent so they're not tied to a movie release schedule. If it were ever even a possibility :)
I haven't noticed the gadgets being loose, but I did notice I had to adjust my timing somewhat, because some of his regular strikes have multiple hits, so I was trying to hit the next button before he was done.
Universal controls are usually a pretty good idea. It's suprising that this isn't a bigger issue. It's similar to the way the right stick was sort of universally adopted as camera control, or how we have X to select and Circle to go back on the PS3.
Thanks for the heads up! Fixing it now :)
FROM DOWNTOWN!!
I love that you worked in a reference to Crystal Pepsi. That is exactly what I think of when I think about NBA Jam. That and playing as Bill Clinton.
This is the perfect type of downloadable game. Good review.
Thanks! Just trying to bring some positivity and spirituality to N4G :)
I agree in most cases, but now that you mention it, this would lend itself well to some cool uses of the 3D effects.
Agreed! For what it's worth, I've actually never owned a Call of Duty game :)
I definitely recommend you do! The developement team is people from Irrational Games (BioShock, System Shock) and the creator of Magic: The Gathering. It's going to be awesome.
This looks so cool and quirky. I love the art and the whole idea.
Yeah, it's basically amazing. I really think it holds up today. The ship graphics are decent and the conversation animations are top notch.
Yeah, there's a link in the article and it's available for a bunch of systems. There's a really good mod community for it.
Thanks for all the kind comments! I would have liked to add more, but it was kind of written quickly and on a whim. There will eventually be a part 2 :D I definitely have more reasons why smaller sites matter.
