Sony does not own Insomniac. They are just one of Sonys 2nd party developers. Insomniac already stated they don't want to be bought out, but they stick close to Sony. However should Insomniac go multiplatform, Sony owns Resistance and R&C, so basically, Sony wouldn't care much.

The competition needs to be worried? Sony is throwing out exclusive after exclusive, Wii developers flood to Sony for support, and the PS3 continues sell so much that it currently having stock issues. The 360 just had its best month ever, and is going to drop some console selling exclusives(well at least 2). It was made to be multiplatform, the publisher wants it to be an exclusive. Maybe they felt it was best to go along with the PS3 momentum. I mean seriously Sony is dropping so much exclusives that I wouldn't care if only 3rd party games got released next year. 1.We know absolutely nothing about OnLive except its a cloud gaming console.
