Exclusives are important, but there's many other things like the controllers (personal preference but I much prefer the 360 ones), price, the cross-game chat, better online features, etc.
I'm not saying exclusives aren't a big deal, and PS3 certainly has more big exclusives, but I can understand why it's not the defining factor for some people.
It just looks like a cheap rip-off of Devil May Cry, rather than an actual entry in the series.

Pretty weird thing to say if you ask me. Making the guns realistic doesn't automatically make them balanced. For example, if you had an AA12 with grenade rounds (which it can have in real life), there'd be virtually no reason to use anything else. The Intervention sniper rifle pretty much outplay's any other snipe. The Vector smg is insane compared to most smg's.
Also another major factor in real life is reliabilty, which doesn't come in to play in Battle...

I agree, Lost Odyssey was like a proper Final Fantasy game for me. Final Fantasy 13 was a massive disappointment.
I'm looking forward to Dark Souls as well, that game looks sweet.

The game had an inherently Japanese feel to it, and that's one of the main reasons it felt so refreshing (as well as the insane action and tight controls of course). Most of the points in this article would spoil that feeling.
Stop trying to westernize Japanese games, they wouldn't have gotten so big in the first place if we didn't like them.
Exactly, between server maintenance, the possibility of your internet connection being cut off, and playing somewhere where you don't have a connection - it just becomes a massive headache.
Unless a game is an MMO, it shouldn't require an internet connection to play it.
I'm all for promoting teamwork, but people are always going to be douches, running around doing whatever they want on their own.
Just play in a group of friends and hope the rest of your team isn't too dumb.

Yeah I would happily pay full price for Skyrim. Every time I play an Elder Scrolls game or Fallout 3, I see something I've never seen on it before.
It never ceases to amaze me how much there is to see and do in those games.
Games shouldn't be priced according to length. It would just result in even more artificially padded out games than there is already. They should just be cheaper overall.
There are games that come out that are only £30 sometimes, and I nearly always order games online where they are almost always below £40 so I believe they can be cheaper without hurting the games companies.
It's not because of competition that PC games are cheaper. It's because the game studios have more freedom with their games, and don't have to pay licensing fees to the console makers.

I think it's a bit weird that you can mix colour schemes from different chapters. Like having an Ultramine with Blood Angels shoulder pads.
I'm all for customization but that just seems a bit daft imo, and likely only an option so they can say they have 1.8 billion character combinations. Different coloured knees doesn't really cut it for me sorry.
All I ever see them going on about is Borderlands 2. I hope they focus on Colonial Marines for now.
On a side note though, it's a shame that the majority of people seem to associate Gearbox solely with DNF. They're a good developer, and I'm pretty sure Colonial Marines will be an awesome game. I just wish they'd stop going on about Borderlands 2 so much until after this has been released.
