Call me crazy, but I bought Yakuza 3 over God of War 3. I love the game. The story, the old-school brawler gameplay, the setting, the characters, pretty much everything suites my likings. I can't wait for Yakuza 4.
Another under-rated game is Just Cause 2. Love the B-Movie feel of the game, and Panau is gorgeous. The story and the voice acting is so bad that its good. Awesome. And there's tons of things to do in the game. It'll take you forever to 100% this game! ...
I'm not looking at any screens as long as it isn't announced that its going Stateside. Its just going to make the feeling of missing out on another beautiful Tales game, worse.
Hmm I don't know, probably the fact that it has a better story and more reply value than most games released this generation? Or the fact that the recreation of Japan's Red Light District in the game is amazing? Not to mention that the game got critical acclaim even with the cuts?
And about the "bland boring gameplay", do you even know how many Heat moves, weapons, types of Colosseum cage matches, and mini-games Yakuza 3 had? You clearly don't know what ...
Have been gaming for a long while now, and I can honestly say the Yakuza series is one of my top favorites.
A game this beautiful can't be kept inside Japan forever!
I believe so. Its called a Black reboot.
You missed Sly 4 and Disgaea 4! And hopefully Ni No Kuni PS3 and the new Tales game makes it here in the west.
Damn, so many games! Can't wait to see the Resistance 3 gameplay trailer at VGA! And most especially, the PS3 exclusive reveal the day after!
On topic though, I CANNOT wait for Twisted Metal. One of my favorite childhood games! You guys should have seen my smile on the E3 reveal!
I just can't wait to kick some ass with The 4th Chairman again! And this time with Shun Akiyama (AKA Hwoarang LOL!), Masayoshi Tanimura, and Taiga Saejima!
PS: That NA Boxart is effin' badass SEGA. Good job on that area. IHMO its better than the Japanese boxart. OH, and don't forget to bring "Of The End" and "Black Leopard" here!
Yes, its true.
There's 20 locations and 70 different tracks. We've haven't seen that much.
Metal Gear Solid
Kingdom Hearts
Final Fantasy
Resident Evil
Please!
I like Wesker WAY more than Chris and Sheva combined. That dude is so badass.
Damn that's one badass box art! I wasn't really a big fan of what they did with the box art of Yakuza 3 when they brought it over here. Good job SEGA!
How's this news?
Anyway, can't wait for this and Ar Tonelico. JRPGs this gen are few in the numbers.
2 Maneaters on NG+, no tricks and pure melee, is probably one of my proudest moments in gaming.
False King Allant is not that hard when you know how to dodge.
The 4th Chairman is finally getting some love!
I' sure all the characters I like from Street Fighter are gonna make it, but for Tekken, I really want Asuka Kazama or Jun Kazama (Same moves, but preferably Asuka). I kick ass with her! I know my other two is gonna make it though. (Yoshimitsu and Hwoarang)
Dude, he's only 40 years old in Yakuza 3. One proof of that is when you go to the Underground Colosseum to fight. You'll see his profile when he is introduced. It says 40 on his age.
I don't know where you got 56, but that's way too much LOL.
As long as its an RPG with a great story and/or great gameplay, its fine with me.
Why did he need to introduce himself like that? He is David effin' Jaffe! Everyone should know him!
