I think VGChartz is one of the most underrated websites for reviews. This is a great one.

Tons of companies use VGChartz. But they use NPD as well. Square Enix, The Behemoth, Naughty Dog, NIS America, SEGA, etc. all follow VGChartz very closely.
I love how VGChartz numbers are good enough for game companies, newspapers, guinness book, magazines, but not good enough for you. Just realize that they arent 100% accurate and get over it.
360 sells more software too.
