I know for a fact that a lot of my friends had a "falling out" from their xbox due to kinect (cannot forget a friend whose childhood was destroyed by star war's galactic dance off) If not only for Halo ang Gears they've sold their xbox.
Specs wise I do not think xbox and sony will differ that much. Kinect might also work as their wildcard

hopefully konami releases mgsv on the wiiu(as well us kojima utilizes the gamepad for it-think of the possibilities) so t you guys could enjoy it as well...
think about this though, how come konami released the prequel to lords of shadows 2 on its handheld however they don't have any news yet if they'll be bringing c:los2 to the wiiu?

EDIT: those pubs you mentioned HAD their games already being developed for the Wiiu prior it's release. Let's see them still supporting the Wiiu after the release of PS4/Xbox720

Why? because the GameCube was way more powerful than the PS2 and just a lil way behind the Xbox.
