I'm not saying the game is a success, am I? But yesterday there was an article here claiming Avowed was a huge success, while the playerbase is virtually non-existent.
A quick glance at Steam Charts and you'll see that this game still has twice as many players as Avowed currently.
👍 No one is saying that you shouldn't like this game. Old geezers like me are just used to more and better quality from this studio.
And looking at the statistics it's also not a financial success either, contrary to what the devs communicate and what some media claim.
So you believe that only <3% of Avowed players play this game on the biggest PC platform?
It released a month ago and only has 6K players on steam right now, and a all-time peak of only 19K. With these statistics, it is unlikely that their claim of 5.9 million players is based on truth.
24-hour peak of only 8k players. Game is already dead.
* Black Myth: Wukong – 2,415,714
* Last Epoch – 264,708
* Dragon’s Dogma 2 – 228,585
* Enshrouded – 160,405
* Hades 2 – 103,567
* DA - Veilguard - 89,418
Dragon Age was a leading RPG franchise. Now after 10 years of development with a AAA budget it is not even in the top 5 RPG game of the year, losing to (semi) indie games.
Fake news. FC24 (Fifa) has a peak of 105k on Steam..
What is there to praise is a better question.
It's £14.99 on top of the Uplay subscription cost, definitely not a bargain.
Starfield fans? The game only has 9 thousand current players, worldwide! As a company you cannot waste time on creating "Major features", it is simply not profitable. Just move on.
Starfield has only gained 993 players, after losing 1002 last month. Calling that a 'spike' is simply very misleading, the number of current players is still unworthy of an AAA game. This game is still dead.
10 million? Hard to believe for a game with only 400 people playing this game currently and a all time peak of only 37k on PC. Is the difference in popularity of this game on console and PC really that big?
