That probably just because they don't believe Last Guardian will come out in 2010. Like Zelda for the Wii, it will be near the top of the Most Anticipated Games of 2011 list.
The only thing this article really shows, is that Game Pro Australia's reviews are completely worthless. Not even they believe in them.
Clearly the author has no idea what "anticipated" means. Off the top of my head, Killzone 2, Resident Evil 5, Madden 10, Halo Wars, and Wii Sports Resort were all far more anticipated releases.
I know the art direction gets the most attention (and I wasn't a fan), but the reason I didn't like Windwaker as much as the other 3D Zelda games had more to do with how artificially extended the game felt (i.e. all the monotonous sailing, the over-long tri-force hunt, etc.). It did do some things very well though. For me, the best aspect was that I didn't always know what to expect around the next corner.
And that's what I miss most in the newer Zeldas. I think Nintendo reall...
Except that the New York Times is a credible new source. Gizmodo is just some website. I'm not sure why people seem to think the two have anything in common. The ability to type doesn't make someone a journalist.
If these stores are actually getting fliers ready, it would have to be coming out very soon - and Sony still hasn't said word one. Keeping a price cut secret is one thing, but a whole new model?
It seems to me you have to really want this to be true to believe it. It says a lot that people buying into this obvious fake are the same people willing to throw away their money to get a second PS3 just because it looks different.
5, 6 and 7 do not look real to me. Number 5 looks drawn on, 6 looks like a temp, and 7 is so terrible I just can't imagine it being real. And for those girls' sakes, I hope I'm right. All three of them look terrible. The concepts weren't very strong to begin with, but the artwork is horrible. General tip: if you're going to get a tattoo, pay the extra money for the talented artist.

Just think how many great games would be coming out if the Wii had not completely destroyed the core business.
And when it come to Mass Effect, the previous DLC does not inspire me.
Don't get me wrong, Dragon Age: Origins is the number one game on my personal want list for the rest of 2009 - but I just don't think bonus DLC for Mass Effect is likely to be worth much.
I do understand the desire to do something though. Dragon Age has barely registered a blip on the hype meter.
To be perfectly honest, few of the PS3 or Xbox 360 exclusives interest me. The vast majority of games I buy are available on either console. But from an unbiased standpoint, Sony clearly has the better lineup of exclusives on the horizon.
In a way, it's sort of expected, since they've been developing titles a longer than Microsoft, and have a larger stable of established franchises to draw from. But even in terms of new IPs, Sony is leading the way right now.
But ...
The hardcore gamers you see around here generally don't seem to understand the business side of the industry. They tend to view sales figures like a baseball fan would see box score statistics - and then it's only to take that info and twist it so that it supports the console they support.
And you are absolutely right about the vocal minority dominating the message boards. A very small percentage of even the most passionate gamers are interested in message boards. But the loud...
The only thing that poor sales for Mad World and GTA:CTW proves is that the casual market Nintendo targeted is not interested in hardcore games. Nearly all of those Nintendo exclusives in the top 10 are Nintendo made games. There are lots of other game developers out there that still want to make money.
As long as there are people that want to buy hardcore games, developers will continue to make them. The only way casual games could "kill" hardcore gaming is if all t...
Every game developer in the history of video games that has ever given an interview and been asked that question, says exactly the same thing. Something between (don't piss off the fans of the first one) and (don't scare away potential new customers).
It's like writing an article because a football player said he was going to give it 110%. It's meaningless.
This "rumor" is an incredible leap. Actually, "increbible leap" is an understatement. Just because 2K will accept experience developing for the Wii as a qualification, does not mean they are actually developing a game for the Wii. And IF they are developing a game for the Wii, that does not mean they are developing a port of Bioshock.
It's not like the port of Bioshock to the PS3 set any sales records.
This is really just an attempt by a small ...
The fanboy craziness has got to get tiring for the people that maintain these websites - and KZ2 has the fanboys absolutely frothing at the mouth. It's really not surprising that there are so many of these articles coming out right now.
I was thinking along similar lines to what LeonSKennedy4Life said - Like Halo brought shooters to the console mainstream, Halo Wars could do the same for RTSs. But where Halo added some fresh ideas along the way, I don't see much that's new to the genre out of Halo Wars demo. I do like it though. The campaign stages didn't excite me, but the Skirmish Mode did. I went from being mildly interested in the game to putting it on my must buy list.
KZ2, on the other hand, interested...
As others have already pointed out, the controls were pretty good. I actually kept trying to make it harder on myself - assuming they must be more complicated than they actually were. As with just about any RTS, the opening missions are on the easy side, and very linear. There wasn't much motivation to focus on strategy. The graphics are high quality, but the structures attached to the bases look too similar - but that probably won't be a problem after I get used to it.
Overa...
Obviously it's not difficult, since every shooter out there allows it. It was a creative decision - just as it was in RE4. I don't think Capcom wanted the Resident Evil series to play just like a regular shooter. If they had, it would've been easy to do. The slow movement and aiming, along with the inability to fire while moving are designed to keep the tension up.
I think it's funny that people complain about it, since it's just as nutty to be able to run backwards at full s...
And you base this on the demo? Of course the two stages in the demo are action packed. Why would they demo the slower parts of the game.
In the end, you might turn out to be right, but you can't make that kind of assumption on two brief segments.
Personally I don't care if the game lacks "horror" since video games can't really be scary to me anyway. What I like about games like RE4, Dead Space, and Bioshock is that the attention to atmosphere makes for a...
