This game is a 8/10 for me as well. It's definitely lacking extra content but the solo mode is very engaging and intense. Story is told in a good way and acting is on point!
It's the perfect mix between Shenmue, TLoU and Heavy Rain if i have to describe it.

It's very idiotic missions and i take an intense 4hour campaign over 20-30hours of stupid missions at anytime. It's normal they can make a game last that long.

Dark Souls 2 can be found cheap on last gen consoles.. it's not like it's a remake or whatever, just an upscale.

I didn't find this game boring at anytime. Story is engaging and atmosphere and gunfights are very nice.

360 has a good success in its first 3-4 years due to the agressive politic with exclusive Jap games like DOA, Ninja Gaiden and some good JRPGs. They were also helped by PS3's hibernation back then. They decided to let go of this good politic. Mistwalker allied forces with Nintendo and Bandai Tecmo and others with Sony.
Right now PS4 is a massive success, and Dragon Quest and a new Yakuza are on the way.
Xbox has been a laughingstock in Japan since the creation of the brand.
No games no appeal to local people and they are still there.

I enjoyed every bit of this game.
The thing that i didn't like is the lack of things to do outside from the SP, like more collectibles, challenge mode or some side quests of some kind.
Solid 8 for me and a very very enjoyable campaign.

I enjoyed reading this review. I am enjoying this game so much the same way i loved Shenmue. The Order is more linear and straight forward than Shenmue was but that's something done on purpose not to deviate from the story the game is telling. it's intense all the way through.
I am chapter 6 in hard mode and manual aim.

i like remasters too.. You can argue that PS3-PS4 remaster doesn't bring as much as PS2-PS3 but some gems are good to have anyway.
