i have so many memories from fighting games from back then. 3D fighters were a revolution in 95 thanks to Virtua Fighter.
Toshinden Ura, Tobal, Fighters Megamix, DOA, Ehrgeiz, Rival Schools...
Even Street Fighter followed the fashion by going 3D with EX+Alpha.
For me it's Neo Geo.
Neo Geo games still look and play extremely well today.
SEGA was the absolute king of the arcade.. I loved the fact that some big names from the arcade were available at home like VF, Fighting Vipers, SEGA Rally...
VF2 was a great game, but suffered so much from competition from Tekken and especially Tekken 2.
same here, for the oldschool JRPG fans Ninokuni is the winner here.
2016 i gonna be a winner year in so many ways. JRPGs one after the other (Star Ocean, Ys, Valkyria Chronicles HD, Ninokuni, World of FF, DQXI, DQ Builders, Persona 5...) i'm so hyped!

Promising future can only come from promising games. Nintendo have been very quiet this year, and knowing them by experience i know it's because they are so hard at work on future plans.
Whether it's a brand new console or still Wii U and 3DS, in the end of the day it will come to the great games.
Nintendo need to reinvent the brand.. the oldschool fans are 30+ years old. They will have the tough task to transmit their legacy to the young gamers who only swear by FIFA...
to me it's still a 10/10.. looks better than never and the game got even better they added x3 speed.

They are longer, more precise gameplay and jumps, co-op...
The only 3D rayman i liked is the Rayman 2 on Dreamcast. but the fun factor of the 2D versions is still better

platinumed the vita version 2 days ago. gameplay is very solid, but i really don't like Kat she's has a stupid personality. Always willing to help no matter what without questioning anything.
I hope the second one corrects this point.

Where is MGS3 in all this? It's my all time MGS favorite.
MGS2 didn't appeal to me much, especially due to Raiden. Snake's cargo mission was great. Raiden missions consisted most of the time of defusing bombs, which bored me quite a bit.
This year's disappointment to me? I think Tearaway disappointed me a little. It was below what i expected and Vita version is far superior imo.
I played the beta of Star Wars and it felt like any other shooter out there...
