As far as embargo dates as concerned, i am very happy it is planned this late.
The reason is to avoid spoilers and gameplay videos everywhere as much as possible.
Already pre-ordered, regardless of review scores cause the game meets my expectations from trailers i have seen and my experience with their previous titles.

FF always had great teams, except Kitase and Toriyama as directors they are terrible and never took player feedback seriously.

I bought it last week and it's good.
It is indeed paying off compared to ps3 days where they released 4-5 exclusives and 2 new ips in the last trimester. Now releases are well spaced
PS Pro and VR are eating esch other's market share because not many can afford both at once. Pro comes as a natural first choice. Let's not forget the short supplies.
In my case i didn't buy VR because i need to make sure they support it in the long run cause i have a Vita and Move that i haven't used for ages.
Maybe in a year from now.
