While I can't go into details due to the NDA I have agreed to with SCEA, I can say that I wouldn't hold my breath on a 2008 release. I know a guy at Sony said it would, but there are some things that I'm privy to that makes me think otherwise. Plus you have to think, the open beta was announced as being set for Fall 2008, so how can you have a open beta and a full service release within 4 months when the closed beta has US/EU/Japan/etc and PS3 owners all over the world testing it for two year...
